Very good replacement. I have a b5.5 (2003) Passat and the regulator broke so I bought this swapped the motor/speaker and was all good to go. No issues with fitment or functionality!

My window wasn't working and was making a crunchy noise almost as if the glass was broken but it wasn't it was just this part that needed replacement. Take your time and having an extra set of hands helps but isn't required in order to replace. Take a couple photos to make sure you know the correct path for the inner door handle cable. I did not take door lock apart and ended up breaking plastic piece on door cable so be careful and don't rush. my window works great but now my inside door handle doesn't work properly because I rushed to get this part in. The metal is also sharp so don't cut yourself. YouTube had some good reference videos. Door trim tools help prevent breaking tabs holding door skin on and a magnetic screwdriver helps with the 3 main screws that hold the door skin to the door and I bought a rivet gun for speaker. You have to drill out speaker rivets then replace them but it only took a few minutes

Part was perfect, but You really need some type of manual to figure out. Even though take careful photos disassemble. Leather gloves or debur edges are razor sharp. Note on some doors latch mechanism can pop free of its catch during disassemble and must make sure to catch. It helps to have non run epoxy to resecure to cable clamps.

If you know what your doing this is an easy replacement. Everything lined up perfect. The auto parts store wanted $98.99 and $169.99 for the same part.

Was not really hard to do, If you have some mechanical skills, do it yourself. don't take it to a mechanic, he will charge you 500 bucks, WV will charge 1500 bucks
