KotobukiIron Japanese Wind Chime, Goldfish, Orange

Very sturdy little wind chime that’s made very solidly. I love the simple sound it makes in the breeze. I only wish the large piece of paper that gets attached to the clapper to make it move in the wind were made out of plastic or other weatherproof material. As is, this wind chime must be hung indoors or in a very, very sheltered spot outdoors to protect it from the elements or the paper will disintegrate in no time.

This is a sweet little mini-windchime/bell. It looks just like the photos and appears to be solidly made. The chime sound is bright and cheerful and suits the look of the piece.The reason it doesn't get a full five stars from me is that the very big, long cardstock windcatcher that hangs down below didn't come attached to the center string which holds the striker that hangs just below the body of the fish. It was just crammed into the box loosely, and the center string was just dangling down from the striker with nothing on it. I had to tie the windcatcher on to make the windchime actually function.While that wasn't exactly difficult, it did make me feel a bit ripped off. I mean, the product was not advertised as "some assembly required"; if I buy a car, I don't think it's reasonable to expect me to have to attach the steering wheel myself. I bought a windchime, not a windchime kit. I shouldn't have had to fiddle around with strings and bits of paper in order to make the thing actually work.Other that this minor flaw, this little goldfish is a cutie pie.

It's a very beautiful wind chime and has a place in our yard, but it is more of an industrial clack than a warm or pleasant peal. However it is not unpleasant, but rather reminiscent of a distant blacksmith's hammer creating something. This is our fourth furin, and the most unique sounding of any, the others are very soft as the paper dances in the wind, but this one reminds you that an iron working craftsman had a hand in this beautiful fish.

I have a small Sheppard's hook that I had a little turtle bell hanging on for years. After our family with 3 kids lived with us we noticed it was gone. But it was also after hurricane season, so a bit windy. This was a cute replacement. It actually shows up better than the turtle did because of the color. Its pretty heavy. I took the little paper that hung at the bottom off because I don't think it would actually make it work.

Wow! Such bright enamel! The pictures don't do it justice. It's got a great chime to it, handsome and colorful, the blank Tanzaku (Hanging prayer flag) that comes with it is also high quality with a bronze eyelet so it won't tear. The corner of the house I've put it up on gets high winds and it has held up great. I will be buying more Kotobuki products in the future.Edit: I'm sorry but I feel obligated to throw some shade at the negative review over it's "Small Size". IT HAS A PRODUCT DESCRIPTION with EXACT Dimensions. Can you not read? It's also not even that small for a single bell chime, it's like 3 inches long, about 1.5 tall and 1.5 wide.Anyway, don't be the guy who reviews a product and gives it 2 stars because you can't be bothered to read an item description before ordering, by all accounts this product actually EXCEEDED my expectations.
