Perfect Phone For Elderly or No Landline, Flexible and Expandable
Land line, no land line, Perfect for elderly as this set is the closest thing to the old fashioned hand sets they are accustomed to. My mom is 75+ and has a land line but the tele company have no good plans for land lines. Her bill would run $125 plus monthly. The tele company however, has great cell phone plans. I got a cheap non smart cell phone with Bluetooth, connect it to this thing and bought a monthly plan for $20. That took care of all my mom's telephone needs. My Store has no land line. I have a cheap Smartphone that takes care of all my data, local and international telephone calling needs with a monthly $99 plan. I got another cheap non smartphone with Bluetooth and put a monthly $20 calling plan on it also. I connect both cell phones to the VTech via Bluetooth. I also bought 2 additional VTech handsets. Bam Bam Bam, I now have a two-line Business System with 4 wireless extensions/hand sets for $120 monthly! And when I am ready to hit the road or go home, I just walk with my smart phone. I am in touch and the Business still have an active line. When I return to the Office, the VTech automatically reconnects to my Smart Phone. YES! The VTech can handle 3 lines, 1 land line and 2 Cell Phone via Bluetooth. The handsets are Wireless with good range. That's a lot of power and flexibility for all sorts of System Configurations. Operationally, the VTech is feature rich which calls for a separate review. I am impressed with the VTech.

The Best Landline I have Found for the Price!!
I bought this product because my current phone system would no longer hold a charge and I was interested in a home line system that I could pair with my Bluetooth headset. I went to a few stores searching for a replacement, and I guess, that since most people don't have landlines anymore, the selection was terrible. I searched my Go to site (thanks Amazon) and found these. Not only are they expandable, but you can link your Bluetooth headset to answer calls as well!! When I got this in the mail, I was excited!! It is difficult to find any landlines that you can hook a headset to. This one does and it does it well. The call clarity is great, the answering machine is clear and I have no dropped calls or anything!! I have since purchased an additional phone and had absolutely No issues linking it to this set. It is a Super phone system at a Great price and I will be adding at least one more phone for my garage!! Thanks so much V-Tech!!

Works fine with no fatal flaws.
Pros: * For basic use cases it is straight forward to use. It can be used as "Just a Phone". * Reception and sound quality are fine. No static. * Buttons are large enough and display is ample for old near-sighted eyes. * I like having two headsets. It makes no difference whether you pick up the head set at the main base or at the satellite charging base. * It is good for screening calls to your land line. If it is someone you care about you can pickup if not let it go to message and deal with it later Benign: * You can load all your contacts from you cell into this unit. I found it less than useful to do so. I have many people in my cell phone contacts that I never talk to. This isn't a problem on my cell phone because they are out of sight out of mind and easy to find if I want to go looking for them. It is a problem having them on this phone because they clog up your directory and it is very painful to step through each useless contact, one at a time, to get to the one you are looking for. The directory interface is good for about 10 entries max. Beyond that it is very cumbersome. I recommend not using this feature. *Blue tooth connectivity to your cell phone. I bound my cell to these units and it works but I just don't like it. When my cell rings I know it is for me and I can pull it out of my pocket and look at it and usually ignore it as a spam call. When my phone and my wife's phones are bound to this phone it is always ringing and you can't tell if it is for you or not and you have to get up an deal with it or suffer through the annoyance of the ringing. The phone is usually at the base and not with you so you can't just send it to message. We tried this for about a day and never again. Cons: Not to many and none too bad if you just use it as a basic land line home phone. * Ringer Volume. The ringer volume has 0-OFF and 1-6 for low to loud. Level 1 is way too loud and 6 is down right jarring. I would expect level 1 to be barely noticeable but it is at best "medium". I would not want to try to sleep with this near me. * Directory list is cumbersome. You cannot quickly scroll through ignoring entries. Each entry displays full information and takes a few seconds to come up. If you know you want someone in the middle of the list it takes a minute or so to painfully scroll to them if you have a bunch of entries. * Deleting entries. There is no easy way to delete all entries in the missed calls list. You have to step through each one and manually delete it one after another. I want to be able to quickly scan a list of missed calls, determine that there is nobody that I want to hear from in the list and if not, delete the entire list of missed calls

No More Interference !
I purchased this DECT 6.0 system because congestion in the 2.4 Ghz band in my apartment building was interfering with my existing cordless phones. I chose the 6621-2 because its expandable, and compatible with the inexpensive VTech IS6200 cordless headset . I like using an over-the head boom mic headset to talk hands free while doing chores, typing, cooking, etc without having an over-the-ear version fall off twice a day. After using these handsets for a month I decided the speaker phones work well enough to make a headset unnecessary for the time being. Its nice to know a DECT 6.0 headset (range ~300') or a bluetooth headset (range ~30') can be added later if desired. The base unit supports up to 5 devices. Likes: Speakerphones work well (in my quiet home environment, anyway) Interference-free (none noticed in 20+ hours of usage) 300' range (tested to 100 ft thru walls, walking outdoors to mailbox) Good battery life (battery icon still showed full charge after 2 hours on speakerphone) Good sized display (can be read easily at 3-4 feet) Backlight goes on and displays caller ID on incoming call Easy one-key review of caller ID log and phone book entries Most functions work from handsets Ringer selection & volume control (including OFF) for each handset Answering Machine: Not tested Cell Phone Interface: Paired OK with my ancient Samsung UH-360 flip phone and am able to make and receive calls. Could not download phone book (360's fault). I have a relatively small phone book, entering it manually was not a problem. I don't plan to use this much so I didn't test it thoroughly. I cautiously give this 5 stars because it solved my local interference problem, has a good speakerphone, good range, good sized display, and is easy to operate. ************** Update March 5, 2022 ************ After using this system for over 4 years now, my original review and rating stand. Still works great. Never added the cordless headset but I did buy a 3rd handset which is still in the box. Only issues have been 1) Battery on one remote gave out after 2 years. 2) Lately the unit has started registering an incoming voicemail when none exists. I use an external answering machine and keep the phone VM turned OFF. I don't know if it's beginning to malfunction or just reacting to some sneaky new electronic pulse the junk callers are using nowadays. Worth mentioning but no big deal. ***edit 1/12/23: This problem went away after about 6 months. Still works great !

Not compatible with latest iPhone iOS releases.
Bought this for my 80 year old father-in-law who does not always here his cell phone ring. The concept is great and the system easily paired up with his iPhone. It was then that I discovered that Vtech has an issue with the last few iOS releases that do not allow you to answer incoming calls with only the handsets unless you have the cell phone with you. Pretty much defeats the purpose of the product! It should also be noted that Vtech's website and their automated attendant for their 800-number do not recognize the DS6621 has a valid model number. If you need support for this product via phone, you will have to put in another product model number in order to get through to their support queue. I gave the product three starts. I would have given it four or five had it actually worked correctly with an iPhone. It seemed like a solid product otherwise, but I will be returning it and looking for an alternative product.

Terrific phones!
Yep, we still have a landline! LOL We don't live by our cell phones. We keep the landline because with VOIP it's super cheap and it allows us to reach our son at home if needed, provides an answering machine for missed messages, keeps the cell numbers at least semi private and we can turn off the cells while having to charge them less. Our previous phones were getting old and had been tossed on several occasions by an angry autistic child so they weren't working exactly as they should have and these are nice. Sound quality is clear, love the blue color of the illuminated keys. Highly recommended!

I really prefer using a "real phone" for calling -- it just fits my hand and head better. I found this system and it works like
I "cut the cord" and don't have a landline any more. While my cell service in the house is OK, I really prefer using a "real phone" for calling -- it just fits my hand and head better. I found this system and it works like a charm. So now I can leave my cell phone in a good spot in the house, plug it in to charge and still have a "phone" in the bedroom and living room. Highly recommend this system for cord cutters -- I suppose it would work well if you still have a land line (that's how it is designed). BTW, setup was simple and it pairs with my cell phone every time I come back into the house with no problem.

Very disappointed in this product
Got this phone because of its Bluetooth capabilities and hoped to use my Flex headphones with it. It also could pair with my cell phone. It would not pair with my Flex headphones and I asked Vtech through Amazon if a certain Vtech headphones would pair and I was told it would. It did not. The sound quality was not very good either and the screen is difficult to read. There are so many steps to get to a number in the phonebook and when you want to start something over, you need to put the phone back in the cradle for it to clear and you can start over again. I had Vtech phones in the 90s and I loved them so this was a great disappointment to me. I am back to using my Panasonic phone now. I am out of time to return it but if I could, I would
