Diagnosed with osteoarthritis in 2021 in my right knee, low back and right hip, I have struggled so much to wear socks, especially on my right foot, I am 53 years old and was very active, in the gym, running and more. until my life suddenly changed. Sometimes I will cry putting on socks as the pain of arthritis is unbearable. I decided to look on Amazon for anything that could help me to wear socks without all the sadness, I also became very slow in getting ready in the mornings. I found this amazing SOCK ASSIST, I was a little unsure when ordering, not knowing if it will make any difference in my life. I was so amazed when I first try wearing socks with this gadget. The joy and excitement is unmeasurable. I can not find any words from the English Dictionary, that can express my sincere gratitude to the makers of SOCK ASSIST. You have made my life so much easier, I am so grateful for your workmanship. Thank you so much. My mother who is 83 years old also suffers from arthritis, I bought her SOCK ASSIST, and her life has never been the same. Thank you so much for putting a smile on my face. Works very well, easy to use when you are unable to bend to put socks on

It's early days as it's only been used for the first time today. There is a knack to using this.. My mum has to use pressure stockings so they are obviously tight. If using pressure stockings all I can say is take your time.. Make the stocking from its elasticated hem and squish it down to the heal.. Then the fun starts as I had to put them on to this contraption so she could try putting them on herself, the best way is to try and get the heal over first then try wiggling the sides over. As previous reviews have said the plastic is rigid so it is difficult if you have impaired grip but once the stocking was put on this gadget its relatively easy to pull the ropes after putting your foot into the ready prepared stocking, I think she was impressed as she had no discomfort as she usually gets when I put them on for her. Some help may be needed by some at the beginning but once a knack has been found it should be easy! Hopefully tomorrow we'll have it sorted properly 😊

Follow the instructions carefully and this device is an essential aid for anyone who cannot reach their feet to don socks or stockings - 'hose' not 'Os". For me, living alone, the thought of fitting those post op stockings when I was sent home 36 hrs after a hip replacement, this device proved to be an essential aid. I could not have managed without it and it worked well. A absolute boon. TIP: Use the cords to compress the white bit to make it easier to fit the 'hose' over the white bit a good way. As I got stronger I found that compressing it between my thighs worked well too and also aided recovery. So good I have kept it in case I have need again.

Once you have your socks on the device it is very easy to put them on. My only gripe is that I take a ladies size 5 shoe and therefore my socks are too narrow for the gadget. I did find it easier to put on my long diabetic socks, but it was impossible to get my ankle socks on it. I would stress that if you have arthritic hands you will struggle to get your socks on it. The plastic is very hard with no give in it which makes it hard to use with arthritic hands. I think anyone with socks larger than my usual ones of ladies 4 to 8 size will find this one easier to use. Another thing to send to charity.

After having L3/4 spinal fusion surgery I was looking for tools to make my life a lot easier. Socks and shoes are a major issue even 2 months post op. I bought this sock aid, and tried to cancel the order as I was sceptical about how it would perform. I tried to refuse delivery, couldn’t get to the door in time (obviously). Asked to return it as it was unopened and didn’t want it. Amazon Customer Services said they could not accept it back even unopened. Did to keep it and as I had tried to cancel the order, refunded me. Thought I would try the sock aid out and alas, it worked amazingly. Now I have Hobbit sized feet (very wide, lil bit hairy I guess!), but the sock aid was amazing. Not bending to put socks on at all. Yes, it was effectively free, but I can honestly say it’s the best support kit, I’ve not bought and tried to return, ever. Easy to use, makes me more independent, means my partner doesn’t have to help me and touch my feet (who would?!). Highly recommend!

I was a bit dubious when I bought this bit of kit as someone told me they were useless but......This is a fantastic bit of kit and I couldn't have coped without it following hip replacement. I have a little celebration every time my sock slips into place and I don't have to ask for anyone else's help. An ingenious device. It's easy to use too. Thankyou

I don’t write reviews often but I need to do it on this one! If you have mobility issues this is a must. I had to rely on people to help me with my socks but no more! It even works to put on my water shoes when I go to the gym for water walking. Genius product!

L'ho acquistato perchè mia madre aveva difficoltà a vestire i collant. Mi ha chiesto una soluzione ed io le ho proposto questo attrezzo. Progettato semplicemente, di plastica ben rifinita che non rischia di pungere o graffiare, o peggio di rompere le calze. E' molto funzionale e ha risolto i problemi di mia madre. Il prezzo è conforme alla qualità. Consigliatissimo.
