This is a well-written and edited beginner’s guide about hacking. The chapters are short, contain many practical examples, and should be easy for readers who want to know more about the subject. It requires little coding background, although familiarity with a programming language would be helpful. It contains general information on hacking, such as what hacking is, who does it and why, the usual motives, and methods use. It consists of an introduction, seven technical chapters, a conclusion, and a final section titled “references,” which is essentially a Python tutorial. The technical chapters are 1. Overview of Hacking (history, terminology, misconceptions); 2. Ethical Hacking and Types of Hackers (good, bad, unclear), guidelines for ethical hacking, and practical uses); 3. Getting Started, considerations relating to picking a programming language; 4. Tools for Newbie Hackers (Metasploit, Acunetix WVS, Nmap, etc.); 5. Big Three Protocols (ICMP, TCP, UCP); 6. Penetration Testing for Beginners (what it is, why needed, when performed, benefits, steps in testing).

Great book, it can be better, but i feel is a good begining for this expertise.

The topic about Hacking is new for me but very interesting. This guide was recommended me by my colleague. In the following chapters I found all I need to know to start basic hacking, from hacking computer networks to rigging a WiFi hotspot. This information, paired with some coding basics, provided me the basics for my hacking education. I found this book informative and it has answered many of the questions I had about hacking. This guide is written in the simple language and well organized. All information is laid out in logically and easy to understand. It is a really great resource for beginners like me. I liked this book and would recommend it to anyone who wishes to learn basics of Hacking.

book had some useful information but for a beginner i have to recommend a book on programming not this it gave a general idea of all the things you may want to learn but not anything that can be used to go further

Primarily page 36 the first line a mistake was made on binary; staring 0 means "ON" while 1 means "OFF". That's actually backwards. Besides a few typos, some information you may have to Google yourself just to ensure that the information presented in this book is accurate.

This is a great book to Karen the very basics of hacking. It gives great explanations, and points it's readers in the right direction for some of the best free tools out there.

I am sorry to say that but this book is a joke. its about 110 pages long. Half of it is basic python course. Youtube serves you better. the rest of the half is just a list with common hacking tools. It teaches you zero when you want to learn how to hack. I am returning it.

Like I said before these books are for me to find out who is hacking my computer my phone they went after my bank account and when you have the codes on your computer and you have the IP address you can look up through this book on how to find them and who's doing it and stop them
