Smartshake SLIM, 17 oz Shaker Cup, Black (Packaging May Vary)

I have bought several of these shaker cups. I personally prefer the strainer lid to the shaker ball cups as I feel it does a better job of mixing, and it helps strain out big clumps as you drink. I love the storage compartment and interchangeability of this cup. They really have thought of everything! While the regular cup (not the slim version) is very innovative with its storage abilities, I find it too big to fit comfortably in my small hands and is useless in any cup holder. This slim version is my go to. If I had to find a complaint, which it is hard to do with these cups, is that it needs to be washed quickly after use, or at least rinsed, as it tends to stink pretty bad if left to sit all day with any kind of protein or powder based beverage in it previously. But that’s more the beverages fault than the cup. I take it apart to wash and wash all pieces on the top rack without any issues. Like I said, I have bought several and love them all. I have even converted my boyfriend to the bigger version of this cup as opposed to his blender bottle with the shaker ball.

I absolutely love these shaker bottles. I found some in a secondary store and fell in love with them. I now own 4. They fit well into the cup holder in my car and the bottom compartment is great for storing your pre or post workout powder so you can wait and mix the drink when you are ready for it. The only caution is that the compartment doesn't hold enough for 2 scoops of protein powder as those tend to be larger scoops, but will hold a single scoop, or 2 pre-workout powders no problem. Definitely worth the money. I bring protein shakes to work for breakfast and I use them on the way to the gym for a pre-workout. Convenient and great. And if you are into the colors, you can mix and match and create your own look. The shakers are universal. Highly recommend.

I've been using this for years, this is my second one. I got a replacement because some [mildew?] wasn't coming out of some of the harder to reach crevices in the lid where it screws on to the cup. So the drink will never touch that area when in use but still... it was time for a new one. It mixes up protein powder really well, I've tried all types in this thing. I've mixed other types of powdered drinks in here too and always a good result. I use this as my measuring cup for a lot of things too, lol. Just make sure when you shake it you have your finger in the little divot in the top to press it down and keep it secure. In all my years of owning it, I only had one incident where I catastrophically spilled some liquid while shaking it, and that's because it was early in the am and I didn't press the top part in to the hole securely enough. All in all, good shaker. Had to hunt this listing down as the original listing from when I brought it years ago is nowhere to be found. I don't want to try another shaker when it's time for a new one as I don't like the ones with the metal ball. This one just works which means I'd better take >better< care of it.

3 stars for durability. 5 stars for functionality. I had the larger SmartShake and like many others, the top ripped; for me, it took about 2 years of fairly regular use before it ripped. I didn't need the large shaker, so I was hoping this newer model would have a sturdier closure system. Unfortunately it does not, so I'm expecting about the same lifetime out of this bottle. Still worth it, in my opinion - see below. For the functionality, I was between this shaker and another that dropped your powder in with a button. The two reasons I decided on this shaker are: 1. there's nothing loose rattling in the bottle after you've finished drinking, and mainly 2. I don't think I've seen a review about one of the best features of the strainer/mixer which is that it keeps ice out. I have a blender bottle (which mixes just as well), but I never use it because of the rattling, and mainly because I put a bunch of ice in my drinks, and towards the end, the ice cubes are able to fit through the mouth hole making it annoying to drink/chug my drinks. Because this uses a strainer, I never have that problem, and that convenience makes it worth the extra cost and potentially shorter life to me.

To be honest, the only reason I bought these is because they dropped down to $3.49 each. So I bought 3 of them. I will say, I like the size. I find that most blender bottles / shaker cups come in two general sizes, 27/28oz which is way bigger than I need 75% of the time, or little 12oz which would be okay, but their short and fat and if you want to mix powder with 12oz of water, you’re overfilling. These are the perfect in between, compact for the size. I actually love the way they blend, with no metal ball clanging around inside. I like the compartments that twist on easily, and the mini carabiners to clip them to items you’re already carrying. Overall, very happy with these for the price I paid, and more than likely will be snagging another 5-7 of these in various sizes whenever I see them under $5.

No gotea si realizas un buen apriete. Lo peor es el sabor a plástico que desprende el envase y lo mejor las dimensiones y posibilidad de hacer tu batido en el momento.

Good quality and useful

Very practical bottle. Boiling water doesn't warp it, so that helps remove the stench of old protein shake when cleaning. Perfect size for carrying it in a backpack. Lid screws on securely and snaps shut with no chance of opening up unless dropped. I removed the inbuilt plastic mesh for mixing, and use a regular steel spring ball instead.
