Not at all like what the picture looked like or what description I read. Very disappointed. I was looking for a heavier spoon that would be able to be washed and reused. These look and feel like regular plastic spoons that you would buy for a picnic.

These spoons are mega-cool. We got them to go with class Valentines--glued beads on the handle to spell each kid's name, then tied the spoon to a mini box of cereal--and they are a wonderful way to give something fun without handing out candy on a sugar-heavy day. They do change color, just perhaps not as dramatically as the picture shows. Still very obvious color change, which is fun. I love that they're re-useable, but I don't know if they're dishwasher-safe, as we hand-wash due to the beads.

Excellent for birthday parties when serving ice cream to kids!

It’s the smaller spoon and not the larger XL spoon as photographed. Dont buy it if you want the larger spoon
