Worth every penny
Much faster to unlock & open than my much older 4gig IronKey. Has a solid loop to hang the key on a lanyard without fear of it breaking and being lost. Large enough to label it with contact information and yet retains a professional look. It is intuitive to use and password changes are easy; however, you had better write down the password for safe keeping somewhere else because you are allowed only six attempts before you will never see your data again. My old IronKey allowed me to register it with the company but I am not sure if this is still an option. Read/write times seem fast and you are not bothered with a bunch of miscellaneous BS installed. It appears that IronKey was bought up by Imation which probably means they'll be around for a long time for support; however, I have never needed any in the past; it is just a flash drive after all, duh.

Not a true Ironkey!
The lightweight construction and low price should have been a clue. This is NOT a real Ironkey, despite the name on the device. Unlike the original Ironkey secure USB drives, this version cannot handle an access code (password) longer than 16 characters. Additionally, when you enter more than the maximum number of incorrect access codes, it does not physically self-destruct like the originals. It just gives you the option of reformatting the drive and starting over. This not the level of security that NSA approved for DoD Top Secret use. If you're buying an Ironkey, I suspect that security is a top priority. Play it safe and just go to Imation and buy the real deal (S200 personal, etc.) Read their full tech specs and then decide which USB drive will meet your needs.
