Rhytsing Set of 5 Ivory Battery Operated Taper Candles with Remote, LED Dinner Candle, Distressed Wax Finished, Push Button, Warm White Light, Batteries Included

This set was not cheap but it is a very good collection of led operated candles that closely mimic the real wax candles. We bought these to add to some table Christmas decorations, created by the children. The spare ones ended up in a chandelier. It all looks quite impressive. We opted for fake candles as some of us are asthmatic and we don’t want real candles burning in the house, also because of the fire risk with young children around.We choose these candles specifically as the exterior is made of dripping wax, which gives them a little bit of a realistic look. The flame is plastic and less life-like. However when switched on, you can set it to a slight flickering mode, so that that it comes closer to the real candlelight. The candles can be timed to be on for 4 to 8 hours. This works all well, that the candles don't shine very bright. Also it would have been better you could control the candles with your mobile phone, certainly given the price.The candle set comes with 10 pre-supplied batteries, each candle takes 2 AAA batteries.The tiny remote is similar to quite a few other battery operated led lamps we have. And it doesn’t interfere with any to hem.Like a regular candle, these led candles are quite sturdy but will dent if you topple them or accidently hit them.For that reason they come very well packaged in a protective box wrapped individual in paper and a plastic foam casing.I recommend them, but perhaps you can buy them on the cheap out of season - I’m a firm believer in the ‘straw hat in winter principle’ and was forced to abandon that this time.

Love this product. I used them to transform an old light fitting into a candelabra which now looks amazing. Remote control operation is very useful being able to alter the brightness setting, flicker and on/off control.

Seem like very good value for money - look really good & light up using remote. I wish they made shorter ones, these are very tall in my candlesticks

They arrived well packed and supplied with batteries. One candle unfortunately was broken at the base , but the cost of return made this not a practical option to do.I have managed to make a repair with glue and sellotape , which once in the candlestick is not that obvious. Once lit they are very pretty and at night quite realistic. I have them in a candelabra in a dark area which is great as before it would have been a fire hazard to light real candles . The remote is very useful and the fact the light itself can be on a bright or dim setting.Better than I anticipated when I ordered them so delighted , just given a lesser star because of the damaged one .

I have been looking for the red battery candles for a while so pleased to have found these. They look good in their brass candlesticks and are VERY useful when we have a power cut! No worries about open flames anymore.

Batteries don’t last if you turn them off with the remote so fiddly having to keep removing them from their holders and manually turn them off. Defeats the object of having remote controls. Otherwise look effective and plenty of settings.

These candles arrived quickly. They came with batteries included and feel wax like to the touch. I normally don’t use artificial candles but as I wanted them near my window blinds so I needed a safe option. When lit they look quite effective. Value for money I think.

I like that the wax goes all the way down to the bottom of the candle. The other ones you can see where the wax starts, and the plastic base begins in my particular candleholders, making them look fake. These ones look very, very REALISTIC because the wax goes all the way down to the bottom!! Thank you!! also like that you don’t have to take the candles out of the candle holder to turn them off/on. I bought some at pottery barn, seriously, expensive, and you actually had to take them out to turn them off/on every time and it’s hard to adjust tapers you have to stand back make sure you have them put in straight again. And the price was absolutely ridiculous on those other ones. The other ones didn’t even have a remote these ones DO! These were good value for the money. We have the other type of pillar candles, and they flicker with sort of a moving slender flat wick that looks very realistic. A different type of wick seems to be used in all these type of tapirs (on all of them, from what I could find.) I suspect there’s not enough room for the mechanics of the other type of wick in skinny tapir candles. This is a very well thought out candle, we are leaving them on all the time because it looks so beautiful! This is an unusual set up, the way you change the batteries is out through the top, super easy to load the batteries. The directions were very, very clear and simple to follow, I would very much recommend these!

I think these look even better than the tapered candles.They are real wax or seem like real wax, and the light is a soft, warm, flickering whiteI will definitely buy these again. They are great quality and easy to use and assemble. The batteries are good!I purchased the Advent candles from the same company, and some other tapered candles as well because I found that the quality and warm white colour of a light is exactly what I’m looking for

Sure didn't expect to write a review for candles. I mean, candles. One candle is another candle. Not these babies! They are excellent!! Look so real. Come with batteries. Ridiculously simple, just pop in 2 batteries per candle, all batteries included--and your home is not going to risk a live flame causing fire. And, the remote thing, which was thinking, meh, who needs it, very cool bc, for example, can set candles to four hours and go to bed, with candles turning off after you turn out. Waaay better product than expected.

I am writing this review for several reasons: 1) I just LOVE these candles; 2) I so appreciate when others take the time to do reviews and upload photos that we all, as potential buyers, rely on; 3) I am hoping to help others, like me, find a solution to not being able to use electric candles in windows once you have shutters put in place.I have purchased/tried so many different candles, and none of them worked out until I got these. Many of the candles I purchased in the past had limited glow from the street, you could barely see the light. Especially in comparison to the most beautiful bright white glow from the electric candles that I used in my windows at the holidays for many years in the past, but were rendered useless once I had permanent plantation shutters installed. That is because the track for the shutters takes up ½ of the window sill. And you couldn’t close the shutters because of the wire running down the back to the outlet. These candles, however, along with some small candlestick holders I found in a thrift store, were the perfect solution. I love the soft warm glow of the light of the candles, and I love how snug the fit is with the candlestick into the regular size holder/no wobbling around. One hint, don’t be like me and buy the candlestick holder just hoping it will fit the candlestick and fit into the small space in the window; take a candlestick with you when you shop for the holder. I did luck out and am so pleased with the purchase. I’ve attached photos of the candles from the outside, the small holders I purchased at the thrift store that fit so well with these and my shutters in that small space, and a closeup of the candle inside in the holder.The only negative which I did not take any stars off for was the cardboard box the candles came in had some water damage, but the candles inside were wrapped so well and in perfect shape so it did not take way from the quality in any way.
