It is practically impossible to find fish/seafood stock in this part of the US, other than bottles of clam juice. This powder is a great option for stews and sauces that call for seafood stock. It has a good seafood flavor without being overpowering. A little more powder or a little less powder can amp up the flavor or reduce it to a subtle taste. Very pleased with the convenience. It's a good value, given that powders will last longer than prepared seafood stock; only 3/4 tsp per cup for a rich flavor.

of all the Knorr bullion powder this is the least salty and nice for seafood stews.

has preservitives and msg. not quite the taste i am used to, but still works well for my gluten free noodles. a little goes a long way. use less than suggested, because you can always use more.
