This is chock full of recipes, and interesting ways of mixing. I'm am just concerned that the quantities of oil to carrier far exceed the quantities recommended in all other books I've read (about 5 now). Have tried some of the room sprays and these work, but would probably scale down the quantities a bit in the other recipes, especially those going onto skin. However I'm glad I got it, it is a valuable addition in terms of recipe ideas alone.

A must read for EO lovers. But i wonder which oil can be bought in india which r not too expe sive . Whai i mean is which brand.youngliving is too expensive.

Just received this book, after reading some of the inaccurate reviews above I have to point out some discrepancies... Yes this book does list substitution oils to use, yes it does list usage and properties of most of the oils in the recipes. After reading this this book cover to cover, I have to wonder if the negative reviewers have actually read all of the pages in this book at all. I would recommend this book, very easy, straightforward recipes.

Useful book

I have been in the Aromatherapy field for less than two years and have many books on the reasons why essential oils are used for certain things. This book is very nice because it gives us some basic recipes for many different daily uses of essential oils. I like that it gives us a choice of more than one recipe as not all recipes work for everyone and not everyone likes the same scents. To me this book is great for every day uses of essential oils. When I address therapeutic, emotional, and mental issues I'll refer to more appropriate books. In the beginning, the authors give due diligence to the history, sense of smell, massage and techniques, reflexology, safety, extraction processes, and something I really liked seeing - "Substitutions for oils". We don't always have some oils on hand due to their expensiveness. In the back the authors added some essential oil information such as what each oil is used for and does as well as an essential oil properties list. All this is short and to the point with the main body of the book just as the authors promised....recipes! I don't necessarily recommend this book for beginners as beginners need to know in depth information on essential oils before putting together some serious recipes. However, it is a great book for those already working with essential oils and wanting to add to their current recipe book.
