Not enough amazing or beautiful things are said of the wonderful guru rumi. But oh, how I love and admire his work. One of my favorites by him is the guest house. It is, of course in this book! (Page 16!)I bought this book not only because I find his work intriguing and thought provoking, but because I really enjoy reading them outloud to my students at the end of the yoga classes I teach. It's always so wonderful to finish reading some of his work and watch the faces illuminate with understanding. This book is small and can fit in most purses. If you enjoy poetry, or are looking to add to a class, I highly recommend this book. I do not write many book reviews, but just had to let Amazon reviewers/shoppers know that this is worth every penny.

I am not a poetry's books fan at all, however, the other day I was watching a tv show and they quoted one of Rumi's poems and I loved it! So I immediately ordered this book and I started reading it as soon as I received it. Every single poem is beautiful, deep, spiritual, relatable, sensitive, moving, timeless and rhythmical!They say that there's a time for everything and this was the perfect time for me to fall in love with Rumi's poetry!

This is a book of amazing poetry that explores the mysteries of love and life and gives you to contemplate. Highly recommended.

Rumi appears to have found a way to love this life. Reading Rumi took me to a serene garden of reverence for all that is. As I read him, I am mesmerized by this deep appreciation for the sacred depths of existence.

If you're a Rumi fan and looking for a gift book to introduce someone to his writings, this is a good choice. It contains a good variety of his beautiful and meaningful offerings without feeling heavy or overwhelming. Great as a thank-you gift or stocking stuffer or for the bedside table in a guest room.

Arrived on time in good condition

A short beautiful compendium of Wonderful Persian Poems. I just wish it also had the accompanying text in the original farsi, I would love to be able to read it the way it was meant to be pronounced ( I'm Persian)

I received this book as a gift. Rumi is my second favorite poet after Robert Frost. Rumi's mind and poetry is as fresh in today's world as it was in Persia and the Middle East over eight hundred years ago.i thought the translation was good and easy to understand. I in turn ordered it as a gift and the bookseller in Florida did a superb job of packaging the book and on time delivery.

Good translation and definitely a poem book to read a few everyday.

Wonderful collection of thoughts by a legendary poet

The book was a great experience and an inner journey, exploring the self and making the heart thrill with joy and divine ecstasy. Reading Rumi is to dive into the ocean and find the oysters. The author of the book has made every effort to keep the original meaning in tact without loosing too much. The book was a great delight and joy, and the words used an elixir to the broken heart. Every poem of Rumi is so appealing that every reader has to drink this divine wine from the very cup of the beloved. There are no words to say, the thrill of joy and excitement I got after reading this gem by the Author " Maryam Mafi". Must read who love what Rumi loves .

Great book to start poetry and the discovery of Rumi's life but it is written more for teens than others.
