Can this be used to catch shrimp?

Larger prawns, maybe? The netting might be too open for smaller shrimp to fall through. I try to use it to catch bait fish. Not very successful not because of the throw net but trying to throw it from a kayak. My work in progress.

Is the net a 3 ft radius or is it 3 ft diameter? Found it on cables and I want to make sure this is the same net.

The net has 3 feet of radius....it is a kid's net but my son catches finger mullets with it
