I started taking this at the recommendation of my chiropractor for elevated blood sugar (pre-diabetes). One of the things it does is to work with glucose metabolism. I have had blood sugars in the 90s for years now but they've never gotten into the 100s. I do not know if it is because of this ALA or not, but continue to take it as it also is good for high blood pressure, cataracts, and is a good anti-inflammatory as well as many other benefits. I have had no side effects from taking it twice/day.

It might have help me with my sciatic nerve pain but it gave me really bad stomach pains.

Dependable dosage in an essential vitamin.

It gave me a very bad acid reflux. It didn’t work for me.
