As an avid fan of Pokemon and being 11 when the first Ruby and Sapphire game out I was no stranger to this game. I do have to admit I didn't need to guide, but I wanted it as a collectors item and to use and walkthrough my games with for fun. The amount of happy nostalgia this brought me is amazing seeing as I have the original guide somewhere in the house. This guide was so hard to get hold of.This guide is filled with detail, beautiful printing, it's quite thick and not like a little wafer like many other guides are. It goes through everything with enough detail to help but not enough detail to spoil everything for you.The only thing I will say that should have been involved was a full Pokedex guide, there IS a Pokedex with some helpful hints on each Pokemon but it does not describe their detailed stats like on Bulbapedia or every way to obtain them or every Pokemon out there. The Pokedex will be released in a few months from now.It does have a quality items/TM list which is very helpful. It goes into detail after the Elite Four and gives you plenty of things to do once it's all over. Not finding the game hard enough? turn off your EXP Share.I am in my twenties and I absolutely adore the remakes, the originals and this guide. It's worth the money if you're going to use it properly, want to display it or want happy memories. I wouldn't say it's perfect but it is very good.

When I was younger I quite liked the original Pokemon games, and because of this my 6 year old daughter thinks that I am actually Ash or Pikachu and played a major part in the development of the game! Ie most evenings are spent with her asking questions such as "Daddy what does the "insert any object from Polemon here" do?"...followed by the inevitable "Can you Google it?"Well yes I can and it would only take a minute to do, but when I serve up the answer and you disagree with Google then it makes the whole R&D process slightly tiresome.So I bought her this book.She is over the moon and reads it avidly trying to ensure she has completed all the secret missions, collected all the legendary Pokemon and everything else.Now my company can rest easy after seeing my extensive Google search history involving masses of Pokemon related searches. No more googling what a sun stone does, or when a Pokemon evolves....And I can sit down with her and actually enjoy playing the game together with no arguments about data integrity! It's written in a book so it must be true :)

This will help any pokemon fan with either versions of Omega Ruby and Alpha sapphire, if your new to the game then I would recommend buying it, so you get everything and dont have to worry about if you missed any items, now if you played the original ruby, sapphire and emerald games for GBA then you should be able to complete this with ease... but I would still recommend getting this guide to help you with your adventure, the new quests and secrets etc...

Good quality, and arrived in one piece. Easy to read and follow, but could haveextra information for beginners at the start to explain a bit more. This was for my girlfriend -the first time she had played Pokemon and more visual aids would have been useful (such as advantages/effectiveness of each Pokemon) as it is not always easy to follow.

a very useful guide but inexplicably the pokedex guide for this doesnt come out until march and the small pokedex section in this guide doesnt give you all the information you'd like when it comes to evolution via leveling for ones you can catch the evolved forms of or what moves they learn and when.

These books are a must for keen gamers and definitely help stop tantrums in the less mature player. Highly recommended - please note that I did not specify a minimum or maximum age for the "less mature player" so draw your own conclusions!!! In our family we now do not buy the games if we cannot purchase these guides alongside.

I am a pokemon nut and have been since it started way back in 1992. I have played every single game and collected all the pokemon. The games have become even better over the years. I have all the strategy books and would recommend them to everyone.
