Excellent mineral sunscreen
Lightweight, non-greasy, and gentle on sensitive skin. I love that it has ceramides and hyaluronic acid, so it hydrates while protecting. It can leave a slight white cast if applied too thick, but overall it blends well and feels great. Reliable everyday SPF 50!

Awesome sunscreen
I’ve been using the CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 for more than 2 years, and I’m really impressed. I have sensitive, combination skin and struggle to find sunscreens that don’t break me out or cause irritation. Its lightweight and creamy, and although it does leave a slight white cast at first, it blends in well after a few minutes especially if I apply it over moisturizer. I appreciate that it's fragrance-free and packed with ceramides and niacinamide, which help keep my skin feeling calm and hydrated. It wears nicely under makeup and doesn’t make me greasy throughout the day. I also love that it’s a 100% mineral sunscreen, which feels gentler on my skin compared to chemical options.

It a no from me. Its works but the cons are just to much for me to get past.
I really wanted to like this and had high hopes for it since I love my CeraVe lotionsThe good - it does provide adequate sun protection. I burn easily and need to reapply sunscreen approx every 30 mins (no matter the spf or brand recommendation) and in the time i was out in the sun i didnt get burned i did however feel my skin getting hotter then usual which was uncomfortable. The things I dont like - this sunscreen never really dried and/or soaked in. It just sat as a greasy feeling layer on my skin and face. Weirdly also leaves a slight white cast (which does fade so i guess that helps you know where you put it i guess for even application)Because it just sat as a layer on me it made me very uncomfortable which in turn makes me itchy (not an allergic reaction itch just an i dont like this feeling itch)On my face it just made me look greasy, not a youthful glowy dewy look, nope like full on greasy like a pizza just out the oven grease. Im not keen on that, i dont mind a little shine but my face was practically reflecting the sun (technically thats a plus as that means my face wasnt getting bombarded with uv light)The worst for me was it transferred to everything I touched, my black leather like car seats had white residue all over them after sitting in the car and it was really hard to get off of them.Just beaware when buying this it may not work out for you.

Good SPF for beach but leaves white face
I'm sure it's great at blocking the sun and I love that it's mineral but it definitely leaves your face white-ish

Works but messy; do not recommend
This SPF works great at keeping you from getting burnt but I found it to be VERY messy. I used it over a few days while in a visit to San Diego where we had several pool days and beach days. This stuff definitely has the white look on your skin when applied. I’m pale so it wasn’t too terribly annoying for me but it definitely doesn’t rub in all the way and you’ll have a white ish look where it’s been applied. I found that I didn’t have to reapply often and it held up to some dips in the pool and ocean. Here’s what I didn’t like about it. It is very thick and doesn’t apply easily. It rubs off onto other services VERY easily and we had to spend hours cleaning white residue from the car seats, arm rests, grab bars, cup holders, door handles, doors and anywhere else we might have bumped while on our way home (that’s even after covering the seats in sheets and towels as a precaution as well as showering off at the beach). Transfer ease aside, this stuff also managed to somehow refuse to wash off from the skin. Anyone who used this had to take two showers and aggressively scrub this stuff off their skin (which is the last thing you want to do after a few days in the sun). I tried with a regular washcloth and soap but still found it on my skin and ended up showering again with a stiff loofah to get it all off. Other family members mentioned the same issue.I will not be purchasing again.

excellent sun protection
After having extensive MOHS surgery, I needed some strong sunblock. I noticed this Cerave product and saw that it had minerals as an ingredient. This was what I had been hoping to find. Although it retains a white coverage initially, it does absorb into the skin a bit. Too avoid looking like I have zinc oxide all over my face, I usually use a tinted sunscreen over it. I fee confident that it is giving me the protection I need and will continue to use it for golf and tennis and other times of extended sun exposure.

Great Alternative to Other Sunscreens
This is great sunscreen when working outside. you can avoid a whiteout effect on your skin by putting a small amount in the hand and dab it on and then rub it in to skin. the reapply inerval on ths back should be noted

Effective, but messy and leaves skin very white
While it worked well to block the sun and we successfully spent about three hours at the beach without burning, it leaves a very strong white cast on the skin. It also does not absorb into the skin or harden so when you get wet or sweat, it just pools in crevices or moves around. It stays on the palms of hands after applying so everything you touch after application gets sunscreen all over it, like car door handles, clothes, towels, etc. Since it moves around so much and doesn't come off hands, it got in all our eyes some while swimming and really stung. Overall, I was disappointed in this mineral sunscreen and will be looking for a different brand next time.
