Would it work with dewalt 12" miter saw?

Yes. That's the same saw I have and it works great. No more saw dust all over my garage.

For this price no mounting hardware??? Just hood n stand???

It's been a while since I've used it, but I recall it having framing rods that you assemble to mount the hood around. Overall, it does prevent sawdust from flying everywhere when using a chopsaw, but it's far from perfect. For one, there's no way to incorporate any vacuum dust collection. Better to just build your own cover with a port for dust collection.

Did not get instructions with it so I don't know if it is set up right. Wonder if I need bushings or something to mount it correctly.

Okay, maybe it's just my penchant for irritation at the preponderance of "answers" I see here on Amazon, and yes, I'm entirely cognizant of the fact this is 3 years old and the OP stated he solved his problem, but for future visitors: 1. Regarding a 12" Dewalt Compound Miter: the product fits fine. Indeed, in their configuration and set-up promotional video, FastCap uses this very model (reference: https://youtu.be/-odLULCUTBY). 2. Regarding bushings: this is a matter for preference and taste. The Original is less configurable than the pro. By virtue of its size (make no mistake: these things occupy some serious real estate), and the tension their frames exert outward, you should have little enough in the way of safety concerns (simply ensure 8-12" of play from the moving parts of the saw and the shroud and you should be golden). On the other hand, many Miter Saws (including the DeWalt) have a fair amount of "blowback", which, considering its occurring next to what amounts to a heavily buffeted tent, could be cause for alarm. Physics aside, should you be genuinely worried/concerned, and should you be hesitant to mar your saw and/or remove your ability to use your hold down clamps, simply layer each of the posts on the hood (the bit that slides into the accessory slots on the saw) with a couple layers of heat shrink tubing (get the stuff with the interior adhesive, ideally), grab your heat gun/propane torch/Bic, and go to town. The rubber of the tubing will provide additional friction and that much less play, too.
