Heatmiser neoStat V2 Programmable Thermostat - Glacier White

Great piece of kit. App is not bad too.

Many nice features but has problems with keeping the correct temperature. I ordered the Heatmiser wired thermostats as it was an easy swap out of my current wired ones. What you should be aware of is the thermostat needs a recessed receptacle to take the small power supply that sits at the rear of the thermostat so if your current ones are flush mounted you will need to install these first. The set up was very easy and the response time from the phone app that you can download was very fast. The app recognised new thermostats almost instantly. One other great feature is the thermostats can talk to each other so if one is a long way from the hub it can be connected through a nearby thermostat. Great for houses with many floors and thick walls. The down side was the little power supply seems to add a degree of heat so the temp shown is higher than the actual room temp. At first I thought my thermostat was faulty but I tried all three and they exhibited the same behaviour. I did love the slim profile of the thermostat on the wall. Because it uses the power from the cables in the wall it didn’t need batteries. Overall it is very nicely designed with good features but I couldn’t get over the temp readings being higher than they should be so reverted back to my original thermostats.

Thermostat stopped working the old faceplate was ok it was the back box but you can’t buy separately, swapped it out and working fine

You can use these as programmable thermostats or programmable timers: I am using 4 (!) of these to control towel rail heaters in bathrooms around the house as programmable timers, to save on power and have something stylish (at least as far as thermostats go!) I am very satisfied: they were easy to install (with the helpful wiring schemes provided in the instructions), I set them up in minutes and they look good I’m a way that does not take away from the nice decor we have in the bathrooms and does not get noticed. I also like how the display turns on when you wave your hand near the buttons. I would definitely recommend.

I previously used nest - and was a bit nervous about changing to Heatmiser. We needed to do so as we swapped to underfloor heating, and a zoned system. This thermostat works really well though. Not as fancy as a nest, but very well thought out, and works well. Even the app isn't bad (after getting used to it).
