Upper Bound Universal Jeep Wrangler Hard Top Quick Removal Fastener Thumb Screw and Nut Kit Fits All CJ/YJ/TJ/JK

I bought a used YJ with bolts and nuts (nice galvanized Grade 5) for hold downs. I have to put the hardtop back on for winter next week. I like these thumbscrews a lot, but there is clearance for the plastic tops to be bigger and still fit, which means more finger leverage and less finger pain. I wish they were a little spendier and a little more optimized to the task, as they feel a little generic as they stand.

I was missing some of the original hardware for my hardtop and this was a great find. It works like a charm and no need for pulling out wrenches to install or remove these. I did notice that some did try backing out a bit so you may want to watch that but it's not bad. I've had them installed for over 6 months and only did a check once for the tightness and they are still good.If your like me and want to pull the top off when the weather is nice these are a must have.

Bought these to replace the factory OEM screws on my hardtop 2015 Jeep Wrangler (JK) and when they arrived the treads did not fit pre-existing fittings. So I contacted the sell (Upper Bound) about the issue. To my amazement a day later the Postman was dropping off the correct version that matched my Jeep perfectly. It seems this version is only for a soft-top conversion to hardtop and will not fit the hardtops factory OEM screw fitting. I had to give Upper Bound 5 star as the customer service was above and beyond my expectations and both products are of top quality.

I was surprised to find two different size of bolts in the package i received. The larger size was the one that fit my 03 Jeep Wrangler. Not sure what to do with the smaller ones..... Wonder how much I paid for those. But all in all these were exactly what I was looking for. My old bolts were getting rusty and these fit perfectly. I like the fact that i will no longer have to use ratchet to take the top off.

Good product, I was pleased with the size of the thumb screws. My only gripe is that the thread pitch is different than the OEM thread, therefore, you need to get in and replace the nut where the screw goes into. To give this product 5 stars, I would want it to be the same thread pitch.

Love em. No idea how I lived without them.Solo, I can quickly remove (<10min) or attach(<20min) my hardtop.I'd buy these again in a heartbeat.

Pretty good quality I just wish the threaded portion was cut to fit into the plastic housing of the stock nuts for the hard top. Other than that it's a great product for the price.

I'm so happy I ordered these & have been wanting something like this to replace the old, stock crappy star bolts. The bottom of the round washer has a rubber gasket to hold it down tight. I have an '85 CJ7 Jeep so if you have an older jeep get this for your hard top. It's a lot easier to take on/off than having to use the ratchet.
