Inspirational, Beautiful Book for Muslim Women
In the past few years, there have been several "Muslim journals" competing for attention, and most are pretty great, but this one tops them all. I ordered the "Dear Allah" version, which includes a space for dua to be recited daily. I decided to write in it every day of Ramadan, as it's such a great time for reflection and prayer. The chance to both craft my own duas—while recording them for later so I could remember how God answered my prayers—was a game-changer for me. I particularly loved the section that encourages one to ponder on how one could improve, and then takes it a step further: "I plan to do this by..." date. It really encouraged me to be proactive in changing my situation. The short pre-written duas at the beginning of each page were helpful to get my mind in the right place, too. I congratulate the authors on creating a helpful, beneficial journal that pushes readers to do as God says in the Quran: to ponder and reflect (tadabbur and tathakkur).
