We got these for our son to wear while hiking in Costa Rica. That was two years ago and he still loves these socks. They've held up well and he says they're comfortable. He chooses to wear these over others.

My husband loves these socks!! Says they fit great, feel great and now we know they wash and dry great too! 5 stars!

The socks fit great, I'm a shoe size 9.5 and I ordered a medium like the chart specified.I've worn them twice on 7-mile hikes and there was no bunching, they are the most comfortable hiking socks I own! I will be buying more.

These were recommended to me by a coworker who swears by them and, yeah, they are VERY well made! They're super comfortable and have nice cushioning on the bottom. They're not cheap but they're made in Vermont and the quality is worth the price.

I bought a pair of Darn Tough socks at a retailer a few years ago because the description sounded phenomenal. I was searching for that "elusive sock" that did not wear out on the bottom, especially in the heel area. I also thought they looked incredibly durable and where very attractive too. The attention to detail that is woven into these sock, is undeniable. Everything from the thickness of the soles, to the shape and contour around the foot.Since that first pair of socks, I have purchased more Darn Tough socks in various weights and to fit my busy outdoor activities. I mostly walk and hike, but I even wear them around the house as slippers. During the cold Minnesota winter, they sure come in handy. They also never feel hot and sweaty on my feet when I wear them hiking in the Spring, Summer and Fall. They are always very comfortable. These socks are made to last. Darn Tough are the only socks I will ever buy from now on. I just bought my husband several pairs as a gift, including this crew sock, and now he is sold on them too. Honestly, I would rate them even higher than a 5 because, in my view, there is no other sock that compares to it.

Great for hiking a bit warm for other activities.

These wool socks are AWSOME! I used them for a snow hike (bought some for my sons too). They came highly recommended by an experienced hiker friend. I needed wool socks that would not fall down or bunch up. These socks worked great! I went with some mid weight socks as I needed something to keep my feet warm in the winter but also comfortable in the summer. I will have to see what the summer is like but for the winter they worked wonderful. I had just regular non-insulated hiking boots on and was spent the day in snow up to my hips with an outside temp between 20 and 30 degrees F and my feet were comfortable. I did notice when I was in the car on the way home and not moving that my toes were a little cool but not cold. If these hold up as promised and other reviewers have said then they are well worth the money. I wish they were not quite so expensive but I am sock snob - my socks have to fit just right or I go nuts. I have not ever bought expensive socks before just would replace the cheap ones more often when they would stretch out or get a hole. If these prove durable I will buy a weeks worth.

Expensive but practically indestructible. I've had Darn Tough socks that are going on 6 years, with weekly use, and i still haven't worn through a toe or heel (the usual failure points for me). I bought them because of the life-time warranty. I have yet to need to use it. I now have like 5 or 6 pair.
