I really like these glasses. They are not delicate wine glasses. I like that I feel I can use them for wine or for other drinks too as a goblet. They are good sturdy glasses which is good because we have a lot of young adults in our family. If you are looking for elegant crystal type glasses these are not what you are looking for. Love the multiple colors and they are still pretty. Everyone know which glass is theirs! I think we will use them for years to come.

Sturdy, one might even say hefty, wine glasses. The glass has tiny bubbles (similar to Mexican glasses but not quite as dramatic) so definitely not the look of fine crystal but with a definite charm of their own. The jewel-colored stems are very pretty and fun. Made in Pakistan, box says hand wash in cold water but I have ignored that without a problem. Good size. Love them!

These really are colorful and bright. Other reviewers mentioned that they have a cloudy appearance when they first arrive. This is true. The cloudiness makes the color seem muted and lack-luster. I ran them through the dishwasher when they arrived and they came out beautiful! I have a beautiful set of white dishes and these add some color to my table!Follow up review: I have now owned these glasses for almost 2 years and I use them daily for water, milk, juice or whatever. The color has remained intact with no peeling or flaking despite the fact that I consistently washed them in the dishwasher for the first year (but now I no longer have a dishwasher). I am very pleased with this set of glasses. I get compliments on them often and the various colors prevent us from getting our water glasses mixed up when the grandkids come over!

We have owned these for almost a year and they get daily use. The really hold up well to constant use and being washed in the dishwasher. They are nice and solid--which I guess some people find to be gauche but I've got too much to do and don't want to waste brain power on babying a wine glass. :-) They look nice on the table. We are not formal entertainers at all, and they add a nice bit of color to your dining table and casual dinnerware.After a year of constant use, I accidentally set a wine bottle down on top of one and it didn't chip or crack at all. Bring it!Overall a good purchase!

The glassworks is a bit crude on these glasses, and maybe the price reflects not to expect more. However, it is fun having the colored stems. I measured 11 oz. Of water and poured it in because I thought they would be larger and more "ballooned" than they are. The 11 oz. filled it to the brim. But if you want the big spherical red wine glasses to swish and sniff, these aren't that large.

These wine glasses are just what we needed. All of the thin stemmed wine glasses we had broke so easily the stems actually snapped off from a two foot fall onto carpet! What? The Carnival wine stem glasses are made of a thicker glass for both the stem and vessel like many restaurants use, and now we can guess why - they don't break as easily. Also, with the wider mouth of the vessel, these glasses can double for red as well as white wines. The colored stems are vivid and very pretty even after many cleanings in our dishwasher (Bosch with Finish brand cleaners). We completely happy with our purchase of Carnival Assorted Colored Wine Glasses.

The first set of Carnival glasses I bought were cracking in the same place--one after the other. The response to my complaint was very quick and satisfactory, so I then ordered this set--just a bit different. They are also on the "thick" side, but that's what I wanted, as most of the use they get is outdoors, and they're not likely to break if knocked over on a wooden table. So I think they're great. The advantage of the different colors is, of course, that when one puts down a wine glass, it's far more likely to be where you left it when you get back. As it should be : )

One was cracked. They were packaged very nicely though so I am surprised, but other than that, exactly like what I thought. Perfect for water goblets at table.
