I originally bought a different scale... ok, it was the BalanceFrom BFHA-B400ST High Accuracy Digital Bathroom Scale with 4.3" Display and Step-On Technology Newest Version, Silver. You can see my review under that product name, but here's the short story. i followed multiple-step instructions, for a change, 3 times to no avail. I wrote to the company detailing the steps and they sent a message telling me to perform the same steps. I asked where, exactly, I had gone wrong. They offered to send a new scale but I wasn't interested. The Lightstuff scale has two steps in the set up instructions: 1) remove tab from batteries (which were already installed), 2) step on scale, read weight. Oops, either radical weight loss, or kilograms. Step 3) change kilos to pounds with simple press of button. Step back on scale, read weight, everything is great. The hardest thing was getting the battery cover off. No ridiculous taring and resetting every time it is moved (unlike the aforementioned scale). Same weight three times in a row. It also gives me the difference between my last weight and the current one without me even asking. This is handy for those of us who have pets who need to gain/lose weight and who will not cooperate by stepping on the scale. Or for humans who need to gain/lose weight. It doesn't take my temperature or tell me the time and date, or body fat content (which is not reliable on any scale less than an awful lot more money). So far, this is a terrific scale at a reasonable price, and which requires only two steps to set up unless you are in a country that is in the dark ages before the invention of the metric system, in which there are three steps. I'm not an idiot, but I AM impatient and have better things to do than mucking around with dysfunctional bathroom scales. This scale is perfect for me.

I ordered this scale because of all the wonderful reviews but was so disappointed when the one I got didn't work properly. Each time I stepped off and on again, just to check it's reliability, the weight was never the same. Sometimes it was up to 2 or 3 pounds different. Up and down. I tried moving it to different areas I thought might be more level but without success. Amazon refunded my purchase immediately and I then heard directly from the Seller. I wanted so much to love this because Lucy in their Customer Service Dept was phenomenal. She wouldn't rest until she knew what was wrong and tried to resolve it. They sent me another scale, at no cost, and again I had high hopes. Unfortunately, still no good. I'm afraid it's my floor that might not be level (even though I have other scales that stayed constant).I am disappointed because the scale is really cool looking and very light weight. I liked the idea of it registering your last weight to the new weight but I cannot rely on the numbers. I will purchase other items from Lightstuff however because they stick behind their products and have terrific customer service.

It has a sleek look and will accommodate any décor. It is thin and at first, I was a little skeptical stepping on it but the temperate glass can hold up to 400 pounds (I only weigh half of that). One of the things that appealed to me was the large display and the fact that it retains the weight from the previous day and displays the amount gained or lost. This comes in helpful if you forgot to record your weight from the previous day. Also by entering your height, you can figure out your ideal weight and it has a BMI (Body Mass Index) calculator. There scale has two formats for weighing, pounds or grams.I like the step on technology, no extra work such as bending or tapping. Just step on the scale and it turns on and after a few seconds, it turns off to preserve the battery life.It seems to be accurate, as I have stepped on and off several times and the weight remains the same.It was a breeze to assembly, (install the rubber feet and remove the plastic strip for the battery. Although it is designed for multiple users, I did not setup this feature because I am the only person using it. I purchased this on close-out and I do not regret. I ordered this scale because it looked so pretty and high tech without having all the annoying extras that I never find useful. Plus I liked the idea of a circular one just because it's so different. But after having it set up for 2 minutes I realized why scales aren't typically built this way. First my husband tried it out and he pulled the towel rack out of the wall as he caught himself from falling off of it when it tiped. But I figured I am a lady and much more graceful and balanced than him! And while I can say I didn't pull any fixtures out of the wall, I also made the scale tip twice while being very careful of how I stood on it. It's just not good. If you put your feet close enough together that there is no weight on/over the legs then your toes end up covering parts of the display which is annoying. But worse is just knowing everything you step on this thing you need to be wide awake and oh so careful, or just accept that you'll be stumbling, pulling racks out of walls or flat out falling down.Happily it was very easy to return, which we did immediately. Now to find a new towel rack and some spackle..

We love the style and modern look of this scale. It has different methods of storing previous weights, and different units of weight measurement. Three stars because I need to step on and off at least three times to get what I guess is an accurate weight. The dial is very easy to read, and though entirely made of glass it's easy to clean. The unit did come with an extra press-on foot which I promptly broke before installing, so we carefully step on it as it can be unstable.
