I adore the writings of Imam Ghazali. This is an outstanding book. For anyone who feels that they are trying to find a road map to walk in a spiritual path, and put parctices into action, this is the book. I cannot say enough in praise of Imam Ghazali. This book is a must for the serious contemplator about walking a spiritual path.Following intensive research, the purchase of this book has been a part of the process of building a library of Islamic literature, that relates particularly to seeking the path of excellence in spirituality, purification of the heart, ascetism, and an appreciation and understanding of the experiences of those who have followed this very path previously. The goal, God willing, in turn is to be inspired and motivated to seek success in a journey of personal development. Hence, this book is a piece of the puzzle of the big picture. I have been very pleased with this book.

Imam Al-Ghazali, God have mercy on his soul, was the top scholar in the Islamic world when Islam was ruling the world and at the forefront of philosophical and scientific intellect. Imagine taking advice from the most intelligent human alive. Al-Ghazali went into seclusion for ten years to ponder about and clarify his intention in everything he did before coming up with the Revival of Religious Sciences and it's introductory text, The Beginning of Guidance. Read this book and you will never want to stop reading for the sake of furthering your understanding and love for the Creator.

Imam al-Ghazali explains the spiritual path in this concise and profoundly deep text. The parallel Arabic text is a great component as well. I would recommend following the lecture series by Mufti Kamani on YouTube or by Shaykh Yahya Rhodus on SeekersHub to really derive the most benefit from the text.

This is one of those books that you read a page at a time and reflect on it together. It brings meaning to your daily actions.

I'm in the middle of reading this book right now! It's great for beginner Arabic students who need to strengthen their vocab - you can read the Arabic part and then look over at the English for help with some words.The book itself is an excellent beginner book for those who wish to seek Islamic knowledge. I absolutely love how its written.

Excellent translation of one of the most important works on Islamic piety/spirituality by one of the most important imams to have ever realized their Islam iman and ihsan.
