Works well and seems to be high quality overall. One manufacturing issue was that there was a paint drip that is located right at the gap between the housing and the pivoting door. The paint drip made it so the damper was prone to sticking in the closed position, increasing the draft on my stove substantially. I was able to scrape the offending paint off with a knife blade and it seems to work better now.Also, this unit comes with a kit to install the damper on any section of 6" pipe. Since I put mine on a tee fitting, there were a lot of parts that came with this that I didn't need. Maybe there is a product option for just the damper and not the other pieces?Finally, there is no obvious way to screw the damper into the tee to make it locked in place. It seems to hold itself in place pretty well by friction, but it would be nice if there were a positive mechanical attachment option, too.
