Exceeded my expectations
I purchased this office chair for my wife. It was a replacement for the uncomfortable and cheap low-back chair she has been using whilst working from home during the lockdown. She has recently been informed that she needs to work from home until Christmas. With this in mind, we decided to invest in a better chair - one that would give improved back support, and generally provide more comfort for the eight hours a day she needs to sit in it. She didn’t want to pay anymore than £90 - so that was a challenge! I spent ages trawling through those available on Amazon, but most within our price range seemed to have just too many negative reviews attached to them. There were all kinds of depressing faults with them: shoddy build quality, damaged covers, difficult to assemble, faulty mechanisms, stripped threads where bolts needed to be attached etc. After much digging though, I came across this Cherry Tree Furniture Executive Chair, it's a big seller, it looked good, it had a fairly wide seat, could easily take my 15 stone should I ever use it, and had many complimentary reviews on it - so I duly ordered one. The price (including delivery) came in at just under £90.It arrived one day later than the confirmed delivery date - so that wasn’t an issue. All the components were contained in one large cardboard box weighing 19.5 Kg. Inside, everything was neatly and securely protected. After taking all the items out, I confirmed to myself that nothing was damaged and that all the listed parts were there. It was then a case of referring to the easy-to-follow instruction leaflet. I never take chances, so I tried all of the screws (total of 10) in all of the threaded holes to make sure they screwed in okay. I then blew out any dust in those holes before commencing to assemble. I'm known as being rather pedantic, so I even put a smidgen of grease on each screw. One word of advice is to make sure you get all of those screws loosely in their threaded holes before you start tightening them up. I took my time, and reckon I single-handedly had it fully assembled in around 15-20 minutes - and it went together like a dream. My wife and I are very happy with this chair. It's comfortable to sit in, the arms are nicely cushioned, the PU leather is soft and pliable, and the controls for elevating/lowering/reclining work smoothly. This actually looks and feels like a more expensive office chair. Only time will tell as to its long-term reliability. This is one of those purchases that I generally give an update on after six months usage - so watch this space...For now, I have no hesitation in recommending this product to those on a similar budget to ours. Really, for the price, this takes some beating. Many thanks for checking out my review, I hope you found it of use.

Buy this chair mate
I had an appalling chair for a while so decided to buy this, and I can honestly say that it is a brilliant chair. It is really comfortable and has a lovely look to it, and it's a very good price (I bought it when it said it was in sale, it told me that it would be dispatched in 4 days when it came in stock, some dfs style sale right there) and I'm loving having a chair that supports me properly and gives great comfort. You can put it together by yourself without someone helping, but at the same time you can get to a place without a car, but it makes it an F tonne easier if you have one, but generally the instructions and the assembly is easy. The only negative I've found so far is that the recline feature really isn't great. Not saying it doesn't work, I'm writing this review now at a lovely angel, but it's just not that great as a piece of equipment. When I first put it together I thought the recline was broken ( I dropped the box containing the parts for it and was 90% sure I had ruined it). Turns out it just requires the strength of The Mountain to make it move back, perhaps after a while the piston will get worn in and it will be easy, but pistons are designed to last for years and run in a simple way with nearly no maintenance, so I reckon I'm just gonna have ultimate back muscles in a month or so.It came four days early and it is as good as it promised on here. In a world where computer chairs are priced beyond reason for how cheap and easy they're made, I think this is probably your best bet, would recommend this chair to any one.

I am sitting on this chair right now, writing this review
When I was looking for a chair, I read most of the reviews and questions for a whole heap of them and ended up with this as it ticked all the boxes.So..to answer some of the questions ...1. Yes.. it does smell a bit, but that's because it's new PU Leather, I'm sure it will fade over time...2. Assembly instructions could be clearer (see picture) but it was fairly easy, a second pair of hands us useful, but I actually used the chair it was replacing to support it when needed, the most confusing bit is that you have to bolt the back and the seat together as the second step, using the arm rests.. then lean the back forward (beyond upright) to allow you to slot the locking bolt (and split pin) through the piston.. When you put the arms on, you need to make sure the "silver" lugs on the chair are fully recessed into the holes in the arms otherwise the bolts wont fully tighten ... this is actually quite tricky as the bolts are not perfectly aligned, but there near enough with a thump of the palm ...3. The seat back "button" is relatively firm to push in but works fine.4. "The Lever" ... This operates the up/down and its like virtually any other chair ... pull up to raise and lower... but the lever does actually move in/out (left/right as you sit) which allows the whole seat to rock (like a rocking chair) ... IN stops it, OUT allows it ... its a very rudimentary operation and does actually feel like its doing nothing ... all its doing is putting a "blocking plate" into the mechanism to stop the rocking. So, now to the chair its self... I am 24st which means I have a big butt and the seat base is ample size which allows my legs to bend naturally at the front.. The seat back has fully variable position so you can set exactly where you want it. Width-wise, again, seems to be ample room to host my ample posterior but the arm rests to just about touch my sides but if I lost a bit of weight would then be fine.. The arm rests could do with being a little longer, I can just about put my elbows on them...As I am sitting on it writing this review, its put my in a fairly good posture and is nice and comfortable right now ... but who knows what will happen over time ... If I remember, I'll come back and edit this review. All I will say is that for £70 (it was on offer when I bought it) ... its very good value and feels more comfortable than my chair at work which cost over £500Hopefully, this (extended) review will help with your decision but, for now, I have no qualms with this chair, and I hope you dont too..Thanks for reading.
