Very vibrant on light colored hair. I have chestnut (dark) brown hair with platinum blonde on the long shaggy top. These chalk markers work great. They are more "waxy" - think oil pastels and not dry chalk. They pair well with my normal dry paste (goldwell) and textured hair paste (aveda). They wash out and off skin with a little water. I also spritz hair a little and run a brush through after to distribute. I use disposable gloves while applying. They do stain fabric and if you lay on the couch or a pillow or itch you will spread color to those things. If it rains you will be colorful everywhere - color running down face. However, I give these 5 stars because they work well to add color. My daughter has long/straight hair and this works for her but it looks kind of greasy. So if you have short hair, hair textured hair, or use product normally this should be ok. If you have $10,000 couches or oriental rugs your kids roll on - this is not the product for you.

Applies easily, washes off quick, and the colour shows on darker hair! Only downsides are the colours for darker hair show a little differently (for example, this is pink) and you REALLY have to coat it on so brushing your hair will be difficult afterwards. Would definitely recommend, though!! Very fun and good for people interested in dying their hair :)

This multicolored hair chalk worked absolutely perfectly for my Halloween costume! The colors were bright, vibrant, and showed up really well in my hair. It was super easy to apply and gave the exact fun, bold look I was going for. It washed out without any trouble afterward, which was a huge plus. The colours aren't that easy to apply, takes a few strokes to get the hair covered. The colour is OK but nothing special. We ended up using the chalk as facepaint which it actually works great at. I'm a little annoyed that the chalk is only like 2 inches long despite the pen being about 6 inches long.

My daughter loved these hair colors 💕 They are super easy to use and the shades look very beautiful, especially on light hair. They apply quickly and are removed without problem when washing. Perfect for playing and changing your look without damaging your hair!

goes on easily, comes off easily with shampooing. may rub a little color onto your collar where your hair touches it often, but can be washed off with a little soap and water. otherwise doesn't come off when you don't want it to. if your hair is dark, you need more chalk and probably can't give yourself bright yellow hair if your hair is very dark. it works great with rainbow streaks for pride month or streaks to match clothing or decor or your team's colors.

Being someone with darker hair, it’s always been kind of a challenge to use any temporary hair dye that won’t damage hair. But these little hair chalk sticks are a lot of fun and show up vibrantly. I will say the lighter pink on darker hair doesn’t exactly pop as much as the blue and purple in this example. I’d say that as it dries, the product gets closer to the expected color. would definitely buy again, great for sporting events, Easter, baskets, Valentine’s Day, gifts, and stocking stuffers.
