So I didn’t want to rate this on moisturizing because I don’t believe that is what this is for. As someone with THICK Curly hair, I often thought I had to keep my hair over conditioned to avoid frizz. I also naturally have greasy skin so my hair was just getting heavy. Super healthy, but heavy. All the shampoos I used either just frizzed it out, only to still be heavy and frizzy at the same time (what?!), dried my scalp out, or just aided to the issue of greasy heavy hair. Then I get this stuff. I was inspired by my LOVE for the face system of the same brand and scent. It smells like clay and sugar cookie dough (weird, but man I dig it). I really just knew I liked the scent and needed shampoo during quarantine, I usually don’t buy shampoo online because I am afraid they will sell me a cheaper product in that bottle, but since I was familiar with the smell, and not about to leave the house, I gave it a whirl and it has CHANGED MY HAIR DAY LIFE! My hair has NEVER been healthier. I can go longer than 1 days without washing it, it is SO CLEAN and light and NOT frizzy after I hit it with a half a dime of Shea Moisture leave in curly hair conditioner...I am just thrilled. Like over the moon in love with this shampoo.If you have dry hair, this is your ‘my hair is nasty, I was in the mosh pit/food fight/wilderness/music festival crowd for way too long and just need to feel human again’ shampoo, but since I don’t have dry hair, I am not sure I would recommend it for every day use (but not saying you shouldn’t try, I guess it just matter what level of dirty your day gets you)

After using styling products throughout the week, Shea Moisture Bamboo Charcoal Deep Cleansing Shampoo definitely detoxifies and cleanses my hair. I love the results. It never fails me. My hair has body and it feels soft.I was running low and ordered a bottle. Love the gripper that helps to avoid spillage during delivery. Definitely a keeper for wash days.

More like lotion than what I wanted, but I mixed it with another African black shampoo, which helped dilute the lotion. It has a white appearance, due to the high lotion content. The picture is somewhat deceptive. I might try another product from this brand in the future.

Charcoal shampoos can be very hard to find so I was happy when I found this one. It worked as it should and smells nicer than most that I have used in the past. If you have an oily scalp or are not able to shampoo daily, this is great to use at least 1x per week to keep oil buildup at bay.

I've been though a full bottle already, lasted about eight months. I have to periodically deal with some scalp issues that were unknown to me most of my life (I am ancient), and this product really gets down to business; it has the power to heal up the scalp better than anything else I have tried. It leaves my hair quite soft and easy to brush (my hair is long, wavy, and tangles easily).

This might be the second best shampoo I’ve ever bought. The first was also from Shea moisture it was a shampoo and conditioner set that was a 10 in 1 renewal set). I have a very odd scalp type, it’s like oily but also sometimes get quite flaky and dry..... all at the same time. I thought I should try this new Shea moisture that I found, and may I say, it’s helps so much with all of my issues. The old shampoo i used to use it had a green roundish bottle with a good lid. Don’t make the same mistake I did with that shampoo. Just save yourself some trouble and pain and go with Shea moisture. TRUST ME THIS BRAND MIGHT JUST CHANGE UR LIFE. and you don’t need a whole lot I have pretty long hair about to my the end of my shoulder blades and I probably only use about two tablespoons per wash. And no more than that. Overall love the product. And love the smell. I sometime have problems with smells and sometime they give me headaches but I think that with artificial smells, natural good smells are the way to go.

This detoxing shampoo works great for clearing dirt, flakes and product build up. My husband has 3c hair wears braids most of the time and i have natural 4c hair. Our scalps have never been cleaner. It’s such a good base before using deep conditioner so it works better.

My hair is very thick, this made it kind of feel heavy. It did smell good, left my hair soft, but it got greasy quick, didn't feel very clean.
