Great Minnow Bucket!!
I bought the 13 at anything much bigger would get in my way on my boat. I was apprehensive at first because I'm old school and use to the two piece minner bucket. But after ready some reviews I said what the hell, plus it was just $30 more than the metal one. When I opened the box I was like wow😳 this nice and you bet it is!! Very well built and solid and not hollow you know it's insulated by the weight and knocking on the sides and listen not hollow sounding. Hinges, latches, tubing very well built. I believe to be greatest about this besides the construction is the variable power sources, 2 D batteries which you can use 1 or both, I'm assuming because of the amount of minners you have or to save battery life, the other power source is a cigar lighter adapter and it overrides the batteries to save them and the other source is a 120V to 3V adapter which it didn't come with, I bought a variable voltage adapter, keep it at 3V and no more or you'll burn the pump up. For the price I think it very reasonable, but hey Frabill you could have thrown in a 120V - 3V converter. Over all I'm very satisfied and highly recommend.

Failed to work after 3 years of light use.
Loved it when it was working but has now stopped and I will try to locate a replacement air pump for it. The only thing I didn't like about it when it was working that you have to access the lid opening screws from inside the lid to change the batteries. Not a problem unit you have to do this with bait in the unit.

Excellent product
This is an amazing product. I have been trying to create my own saltwater fish tank and before wasn't possible because fishes didn't survive the travel with the changes of temperature, but this items keep them warm and safety. I caught couple reef fish and put it in this item and travel back home next day and all fishes still alive...I love itI used 2 Duracell battery and hold almost a day, I plugged the device to car's charger while I was driving back home because is couple hours away and want to be sure battery don't die and fish with them.Amazing product

Customer satisfaction.
I purchased my Bait Station in May 2021. It worked well for about the first month and then the pump problems begun. Pump would run sometimes and not other times and I lost quite a bit of bait, over the summer. I contacted Frabill late summer, explained all the different scenarios and got a response about 2 months later. By the time they responded, my pump had completely quit working. After exchanging info and a few Emails, I received a replacement today, free of charge. The new pump motor has a different number than old one so hopefully, it will do the job correctly. I gave an overall rating of 4 due to the problems I encountered with my first unit and the amount of time for response and to correct the issue. I am very pleased with all features except the original pump. Frabill made it right and told me to contact them again if I have any further issues. Frabill is still a good company in my eyes.

Relly keeps the alive
I love this Frabill Bait Station. it is well insulated so that it tends to keep the bait cool The aerator works very well on Batteries or Cigarette lighter hook-ups. while I do not enjoy fishing all day, I have had to do so in the past, just because I took out some Guys who just never give up. This Bait station has kept these baits in great shape for the entire Day. Admittedly I do replenish the water from time to time just so the Baits stay active.

Reports of defective aerator are accurate
I originally purchased the Engel 13 qt bait cooler because I read a read a lot of reviews about the aerator for the Frabill not working. However I returned the Engel because its aerator sounded loud and annoying to me. So I decided to take a chance and purchased the Frabill. Two months later, the aerator started malfunctioning. I was not able to depend on the aerator to keep my bait alive. Per the warranty instructions that came with the product, I shipped the defective aerator to the manufacturer. I paid $7.85 to ship the aerator and enclosed $5.00 per the warranty instructions for postage and handling. After 2-1/2 months I have not received a new or repaired aerator, nor have I received any response from Frabill, even after sending them an email inquiry a few weeks ago. I can only conclude that the large number of reviews submitted about problems with the reliability of the aerator are accurate. Unfortunately the design of the aerator as an integral part of the lid of the bait station makes it difficult to use a standard side-mounted aerator with the bait cooler. I am now planning to purchase the Engel without an aerator and buy one of the quieter aerators from Marine Metal Products separately to use with it.

Worth the price after using it!
I was hesitant to spend this much money on a minnow bucket at first, but I can confidently say it is a great value. I fish in East Texas where the summer temps can be brutal and make it difficult to keep bait alive. I used this bucket all weekend with one set of D batteries and they are still going strong. The unit also comes with a 12V plug if you’d prefer to go that route as well in lieu of batteries. This is a very heavy duty box that easily withstands someone sitting on it without fear of collapsing it. Another feature that is really nice is that the pump is integral in the lid and not hanging off the side getting caught on stuff in the boat. Overall I couldn’t be happier with this bait keeper and would definitely recommend it if you experience extreme temps where you fish.
