Perfect Indoor and Outdoor Play
I bought this SYMA RC Helicopter and I love it. There are so many times that I couldn't fly my Drone outside because of HOA restrictions and FAA restrictions. They Helicopter is a great substitute for it. You don't need to get a license such as Part 107. You just charge it and fly!The battery charges of any usb power bank and it charges so quickly. Have able to charge it off a power bank is a plus!. Don't expect a long range like DJI but it is long enough to fly in a basketball court, backyard, living room even in an office. Trust me, flying this relieves stress and tension. And it is easy to put away. Very simple to use and yet packs a lot of fun. We even have a contest in our office to land it in a certain spot. But we do it in our break time of course. LolThe helicopter is very easy to control. I would say 8+ years old to a grown up man can fly this. It is so stable and it is so light. I would recommend getting extra batteries is you want to fly continuously because this thing is so addictingly fun to use. I have crashed mine to walls and tv and no broken parts yet. it is still working like it was brand-new.For price, it is reasonable cheap and fun to use. It is worth the price.I highly recommend this to anyone who likes to fly toys but doesn't to pay thousands. No license needed, easier to use and play.Note: I did not get paid to write this review. I wrote this review because I like the product and I use it on a daily basis at work. Try it out. You won't regret it because you did. Happy flying. (ooohhh my battery is fully charge now, time to fly again.)

UPDATE to: Alright, but disappointing
UPDATE!!!A rep reached out after reading my review to make things good because I was disappointed. I did not contact them, I made the purchase and used it to teach my son. The picture is current! It has held up very well to my now 4 year old learning to fly. I went up from 3 to 5 stars because it still works like new, the battery is still good, it has no damage at all from a very young beginner. He can now fly more advanced models! After reaching out to me they did everything they could to make my experience good. I had changed my mind about the helicopter already considering everything it has been through and the hours of enjoyment I have gotten from it teaching and watching my little man. I left intact my original review so it stands as my honest review after it arrived. However, after my son asked to try it and everything that followed I feel like I have a better understanding and grasp of the product. This sizeable heli has many uses and will stand the test of time. Extra batteries are available for extending your time and you don't have to tear it down to change them, there is a battery door. Buy this for the right reasons an you will be happy. My original review follows. This is ok for beginners. There is no way to override auto take off and the throttle is spring return to center. To go down you must pull down against that return. The forward and backward motions are slow to react so if you are learning you need extra space. Best out for running into things is to let the stick center and move it sideways rapidly to start a quick spin. Must center or the spin is slow and won't stop directional flight. My 3 year old can fly it though so now I will be buying him helicopters too. DO NOT buy this if you are above novice or you will get angry at your $50 purchase fast! Cannot charge from controller must USB charge. Videos I watched didn't accurately show flight since the control reaction for directional flight is so slow.

It's a fun helicopter and a nice upgrade over the tiny ones.
The Syma S39 helicopter is a fun product to fly around the house and outdoors (no wind). I have experience with the smaller helicopters as I had a couple of them 5 or so years ago. So before you buy, here's what you need to know...Pros1. It hovers and does not fall from the sky. If you've had older helicopters similar to this, you know that as soon as you let go of the lift, you have a rock falling from the sky. That's not the experience you have with this one. As soon as it achieves lift, it maintains it's lift. You can let go of the controls and it will maintain it's exact position. This will help all of the broken blades and pieces of the past.2. It comes with two batteries. Flight time is limited between 5 - 10 minutes, but it's not a problem. I found that the time was enough for the fun of using it and enjoying the experience of flying around.3. The led in the front of the helicopter is fun for "search and rescue". We flew it when it was very dark out and flew very low to the ground pretending we had a "lost people in the deep forest of the grass". My neighbor also had flags in his yard from a cable bury. We flew between the flags (and hit a couple of them along the way. Basically it' was a fun experience outdoors (no wind).4. Indoors the helicopter is close to perfect. A/C vents and/or ceiling fans will toss it around. It is light. Scared the daylights out of my dogs, they barked and barked and barked.5. Should something break, there's an exploded view of the helicopter and a list of part numbers so you know what to replace and what the part is called. I personally like this as something always ends up breaking at some point in the future.6. The controller is very comfortable and resembles a video game controller. Super easy to use. It has settings for (high/low) turbo, the ability to change the trim.7. The range is really good for the helicopter. We went pretty high in the sky (above a two-story house). At the same time, you get more wind so we were afraid we'd land on someone's house. If you keep it low, then you can cover the distance. At the same time, it's not a huge helicopter so you're likely to not know what the helicopter is doing anyways. So range wasn't an issue for me and I was happy with it.8. The packaging is solid. It comes in form-fitting styrofoam so you don't have to worry about a shipping company damaging the product. Mine arrived in perfect condition...with some battery juice to give it a test flight immediately.Neutral1. The documentation could be improved.- It took me a minute how to figure out that the hanging cord was the battery and that there's a port you have to plug it into.- To turn on the helicopter, the documentation says to "open helicopter's power switch". This should read "switch the power on"- There are some items that could be better clarified. Eventually, I figured them out.2. Pairing the controller. It seemed to take some time to get paired. This is neither good nor bad, it's just something that could be improved.Cons (The reason for a loss of a star)1. There's a turbo mode (high/low) for the helicopter, but there's not a visual indicated on the controller that shows you it's on/off. It seems like you can hear it in the helicopter, but it was really hard to tell. Switching it on/off wasn't super noticeable.2. The battery replacement compartment requires a screwdriver to open. This should really just be a simple clip for faster battery exchange. Having to constantly unscrew the battery compartment isn't an enjoyable experience. The goal is to have fun flying as much as possible, not changing batteries.3. If you want to fly it outside, which I did, you have to have near windless conditions. The helicopter is incredibly light. When I flew it outside, even a small breeze pushed the helicopter back and it struggled to go forward. It'd be nice if it could handle a slight breeze.
