Piece of junk. Two of the tabs that help keep the case closed broke. I really didn't want to mess with returning it as I thought it would still be usable, so I super-glued the end of the case to keep it shut. My hard drive is a 1 TB drive. The unit turns on. So far, so good. Supposed to be for SATA drives and compliant with USB 3 and backwards compatible. Well . . . when I attach to my USB 3 connection, the drive light increases in intensity and Windows Explorer cannot seem to find the drive. Not so good. When I attach it to a USB 2 connection, Explorer finds the drive but it appears to be unresponsive. After a longer than normal period of time, it becomes usable. It just doesn't work as well or as seemlessly as a previous Connectland hard drive enclosure I purchased a few years ago. I'm going to buy something else and dump this in the garbage. An expensive lesson learned.
