Used a molly gun and umbrella fixing before to install tv's and large full motion brackets onto plaster board walls. Used these ones to put up a mirrored bathroom cabinet, they worked great and it's nice and sturdy now.Firstly, when working with plasterboard, don't use and other type of fixing. The disc ones with 2 fans you open out or poor quality, the tiny flat head screws become worn quickly, they don't fully open out because you can't ensure the inside plaster is flat, and you must drill a, large obtrusive hole to use. Plus their weight load won't be as strong.Don't use the generic cone shaped plaster board fixings for more than a picture frame, they're useless.Some use rawl plugs, they'll also come out.When using them you drill a hole the right size for the umbrella/plasterboard fixing. Remove the screw, hammer into the hole (should be snug enough you need a hammer) re insert screw but leave enough gap to slot U opening at end of molly gun between wall and screw head. Make sure molly gun is fully closed/reset so both the outer U opening and inner U that'll move with the trigger are flat together. When ready fully pull trigger once, then again, after 2 strong pulls (if the screw was close to the wall) the 3rd should be very tight. Don't over tighten at this point because you can pull the screw out of it's threading. The screw only threads into it's umbrella fixing a little at the very end (but holds fast to good weights).

Excellent plasterboard fixings - good choice of sizes - have already used some with success.Would recommend this pack for any DIYer

These are brilliant!Having used various other fixings for plasterboard with varying amounts of success, I thought I'd give these a go.Having read various other reviews it became apparent that you needed the right tool to grip and pull the fixing so that it clamped itself properly.Again, having read other reviews, some tools were better than others so I chose this tool: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B009HN8U2Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dX-tFbWVHWACDThe outside of the case details what weight each size of fixing can take and what drill bit size to use. It goes without saying that you shouldn't use a masonry bit for these fixings - I opted for a metal drill bit, which worked perfectly. After drilling the hole push the fixture in firmly (you should be able to use your thumb). Then take your setting tool and, whilst pushing the fixture tight to the wall, pull the trigger until you start to hear the fixture squeezing the plasterboard (you'll also notice it sinking into the surface). You can now release the setting tool, take the screw out and then fix whatever you want to fix (using the same screw you have just removed).They feel solid, with no sign of flexing, twisting or wobble.Really simple and easy.Definitely something I'll use from now on.Well chuffed!!Edit January 2021:The smaller fixings AREN'T very good, however - they have a slightly different design to the larger fixings, and don't fix into the wall very well. It's a shame because the product really deserves 5 stars. I would still recommend buying the product as a whole just don't waste your time with the smaller fixings.

Having tried the various drywall fasteners over the years, everything from EasyFix hollow wall, to GripIt and Fischer these are the most study and easiest to use, once you of course have the "gun" needed to install them.No movement, hold the rated weight and very easy to use (drill hole as recommended, install fastener, use "gun" to secure fastener, remove bolt and hang object).Wish just invested in these far sooner.

Used these to fit a blind up to a window with a solid concrete lintel above with very little space for screws. While I did have some trouble with the spacing (the screw were protruding too far out of the plugs for me to be able to fit them), once I had chopped the screws down a bit they secured very tightly into place. Far superior to the general purpose plastic wall plugs I had bought before.

Have a (relatively) thick drywall wall to hang two shelves onto, this works great! My shelves are up and have been for a week, total load is no more than 2-3kg per shelf, plus another 1kg for the shelf itself.Installation was a little difficult, my anchors dug themselves into the wall as I tightened them but that's okay, makes it easy to fill in one day.Also wish there were more of each, as I used up all 8 of one size for my shelves. At least I now know what size to use so I can buy more.

..., nach dem Kauf erst, mal einige der Rezensionen, gerade die negativen, durchgelesen hatte, hab ich einen der Kleinen, im "Trockenlauf" getestet ---- der Dübel hat sich mühelos !!! aufgespreizt, ist nicht !!!!! gebrochen - und - das Gewinde wurde auch nicht beschädigt.Ich behaupte hier mal ganz frech - mit Gewalt, hebt man eine Geiß herum ( sagte Opa früher immer ), denn mit der richtigen Zange und etwas Gefühl in den Fingern, passiert da nix - die Dinger sind hervorragend.Was sehr wichtig ist, zu Wissen, bei dieser Art Dübel - der gerade/geschlossene/nicht geschlitzte Bereich, hinter dem "Teller" mit den Krallen, soll so lang sein, wie der Gips dick ist, denn nur dann, legt sich die aufgespreizte fünfbeinige "Spinne" von hinten komplett auf den Gips auf - wenn ich natürlich einen Spreizdübel setze, der bis an die "Kallenplatte" geschlitzt ist und dieser Gips schon 15-20mm hat, wird das nix!!!!!! - der Dübel bricht ganz einfach, an den "vorgekerbten" Stellen - und wenn ich dann mit der Zange "mache wie ein Tier", erkläret das eigendlich, diese negativen Rezensionen - Grobmotoriker ;-)Hab diese Art Dübel, vor gut 25 Jahren in Frankreich kennengelernt - bei uns gabs die zu der Zeit noch garnicht - und mir von dort, auch Dübelsortimente und eine "venünftige" Zange mitgebracht - hab ich übrigens bis Heute. Wie gesagt - der Dübel muss, auch von der Stärke/Durchmesser, zur Gipskartonplatte passen - ich kann keinen 3er-Dübel, in eine 20er Platte "wurschteln" und mich dann Wundern, wieso das nicht so funktioniert, wie gewüscht.Und noch was - hab hier von "Tricks" gelesen, wie man die Dübel auch ohne diese Zange setzen kann, zb, "anknallen" mit Akkuschrauber, nach dem Motto, "der zieht das Gewinde schon ran" - liebe Leute - ihr habt mit solchen "Spielchen" keinerlei Kontrolle, über das Anzugsmoment - ein Bruch des Dübels ist da vorprogrammiert - und wenn der Bit, nur einmal, im Kreuzschlitz der Schraube "drüberrutscht", habt ihr Probleme, diese Schraube wieder rauszudrehen - schafft euch eine Zange an - für nur ein paar Dübel, tut es auch eine "Preisgünstige" - - aber ich kann euch versichern - wenn ihr mal, mit dieser Art Dübel, gearbeitet habt, habt ihr "Blut geleckt" - dann kauft ihr euch hinterher sowieso was Vernünftiges - und soooooo teuer, sind die garnicht - es gibt deutlich teuerere Zangen ( meine kleine Endhülsenzange von Weidm... zb. 150€ - und das ist noch nicht mal die Teuerste - vollisolierte Kerbzange bis 250² - 450€ - Kabelschere bis 150² mit Ratschenfunktion 220€ ) - und, und, und ----- da ist die Anschaffung einer Hohlraumdübel-Zange, wirklich nicht die Welt. Achtet darauf, daß die Hebel der Zange länger sind - andernfalls drückt ihr euch bei/ab 6er-Dübeln, "die Augen vor den Kopf".Hab da gerade eine Rezension gelesen, von wegen "Kennzeichenbefestigung" - liebe Leute - die HM-Dübel können ROSTEN!!!! ---- die sind zwar gegen Korrosion geschützt, aber nur solange sie nicht verwendet werden - beim Einbringen und Spreizen, wird diese Oberflächenbeschichtung beschädigt - und genau dort fangen die dann mit Rosten an - nehmt für so etwas, besser Edelstahlnietmuttern - die rosten halt nicht.
