I bought a refurbished one of these to use in my 2018 VW GTI and have been using it almost every day for a couple weeks now. In the Golf/GTI (and lots of other cars), the USB port and audio jacks are in the center console cubby in front of the shifter. The cubby has a door that flips down. Unfortunately, it's not a great spot for the phone because the cubby itself is quite small, and the USB housing takes up some of that space. My iPhone X will barely fit lengthwise, and the door won't close with a standard charging cable sticking out the bottom. It will fit somewhat diagonally, but because of the USB housing, not perfectly lengthwise. Leaving the door open exposes the cable; this is not a good thing, as a standard-length cable can easily get tangled in the shifter. The alternative is to coil/stuff the whole thing inside the cubby, then quickly close the door and hope it doesn't spring out.This little cable seems to have solved the problem. The phone and cable fit neatly into the cubby and I can close the door with no issues since the right angle gives me just enough clearance. Even better, I can leave it open without fear of the cable tangling in the shifter or anything else. It's very tidy-looking. It also works well in the armrest storage bin for the same reason.The only issue I've noticed is that sometimes, the audio in CarPlay quits working. However, I don't know if it's a cable issue or a software glitch (I'd put my money on the latter, since rebooting the phone usually fixes it), so I'm not knocking the cable. Also, since the cable is so short, you can't really pick up the phone to use it on its own without unplugging it. But that's obviously not a design flaw, just a trade-off. Long-term reliability is the only question, but it seems well-made and the connectors fit perfectly with no slop. It's more expensive than some of the endless cheapo stuff out there, but so far it seems like a good value.I've attached a couple of photos for reference. Hope this helps!

This angled lighting power cable seems to work fine. I use it to provide power from a USB accessory on my handlebars to a RAM mount / iPad mini that I use for my adventure touring motorcycle navigation. The 11 inch length is perfect for my connection to the iPad without having to deal with a lot of extra cable. The covering on the cable seems like it will be durable enough, however the cable is starting to show some possible kinking at the angled connector end. Would be nice to have a little strain relief mounded around this connector. I will probably purchase another as a backup.

Who would have guessed that such a simple design change could make such a big difference. If you need something to connect in tight spaces, this works great!

I needed an extremely short lighting cable with a 90 deg on the lightning end to connect my iPhone to my Harley stereo. The cable had to fit behind the stereo’s faceplate. Fits perfect and streams music flawlessly.

Bought this to use with my phone mount on my motorcycle. Just finished a 1,200 mile trip in various weather conditions - no problems experienced.

Plugged it in, no charge. Plugged in my old cord to the same port, charges. Tried in several ports. Not Good.

I use this to attach my mini 4 I pad to my mavic air controller-- It is perfect!! I have never had one disconnect with this chord ever- It's only 11 inches so it is perfect to run from controller USB to lightning connector to I pad.. BUY IT!

Power and data pass through well. Nice connectors. Perfect for short distance in my truck.
