The Perfect Plate!!
We used these for a BBQ and they held up great! Super sturdy, no weird smells, and had enough room for people to have two sandwiches and sides without breaking the plates. I highly recommend these for any type of get together especially if the food you're serving is hefty.

At last - compostable!
I stopped using paperware years ago because I don't like one-use items. We hosted a family reunion weekend recently, though, and I decided to try paper goods for it to reduce extra activity in our small-ish kitchen. I was so happy to find these plates. They worked perfectly for buffet-style meals, held up to lasagna and tossed salad (I used just a single plate - no doubling up - and it worked well without any edge sagging, softening or soak-through. We loaded our plates at the buffet but did sit at tables, so there was no lap-eating (I think I'd double a plate for that, though maybe it wouldn't be necessary). The event happened during a dry spell, so I soaked the used plates in a dishtub of water overnight and tore them up a bit before putting them in my compost heap, just to get them started breaking down. Those were probably unnecessary steps, but reduced the plates' appeal to critters and gave me a good chance to assess their sturdiness. They were amazing - held their shape even after an overnight soak. The soaked plates were even a bit hard to tear up in stacks of more than two. This is good news - paperware that isn't an ecological burden. I will use these again should I ever end up entertaining on that scale. By the way, the 9" size is excellent for this kind of dining because the size is so manageable and the price is good ;-) If they don't compost well I'll alter the review, but so far, really good.

Great little plates
Got these to use for my cat’s wet food. They work well and hold up to some of the brothier meals well. I’ll be buying them again when I run out. I like that they’re a more sustainable option. The price isn’t half bad either

They're made of bamboo.
The quality is good. They are strong. The selling point for me is that bamboo grows a whole lot quicker than trees. I haven't had one that leaks or folds.

The plates stick together when in a pile; I like the compartments.
I have a full set of 50 plates and cutlery for larger family parties, but the process of washing said plates takes hours; I just wanted something easier this year where I could throw all the contents of the plate and the plates themselves on my compost pile. The plates themselves seem pretty sturdy; I like the divided compartments a great deal - particularly great for picky kids that do not want their meal components to touch. The big issue I had with this for my party was the tendency of the plates to stick together. I just had these in one pile and as I looked around, I saw that many folks had accidentally grabbed two plates. If you were setting these out at individual place settings, you could avoid this problem, but our family gigs are a bit more casual than that. Since most people had two plates, I can't say if many had problems with seepage. I personally did not, but I also did not plate anything with gravy or sauce.I have turned these a few times in my compost; it's been about a month since they were placed there. They have flattened and are beginning to tear a bit. I think they will break down faster than the cups I procured for the same occasion (HeloGreen Coffee Hot Cups | 12 oz. Compostable Cups Premium Paper Hot Cups - Hot Beverage Cup for Coffee, Tea, Water and More! - WHITE - (100 Count)).

Great price, well-made, sturdy and protects our world from pollution
I'm on a mission to save the planet by using less plastic. If you have any awareness of what's going on in the world, the use of plastic straws, plastic plates, plastic bags, plastic utensils, plastic rings for soda, plastic cups, plastic bottles, and plastic everything that never degrades and is slowly killing the world's sea mammals. So, I decided to try these plates. There are some made out of palm leaves which are great. These are made of wheat straw fiber which according to the website is a recycled leftover product and has no environmental impact. They are great. They don't absorb water. You can use him for just about every meal or dish you can imagine. Sturdy, lightweight, and you will help save the planet one plate at a time.

Exceptional strength and durability - grandpa proof!
My elderly grandparents recently moved in with me due to their advanced age and medical needs. My grandfather in particular can no longer hold onto heavy or slick surfaces such as those found on porcelain, ceramic or even plastic dishes. This has resulted in many dropped and dangerously shattered dishes. Traditional paper, foam and plastic plates are light enough for him to hold but too flimsy to safely and securely hold his food. After trying numerous alternatives, I found these here on Amazon, and they are the answer to my prayers! Though they don't weigh much, they are definitely heavy-duty; he can pile on as much food as he wants, microwave them without any worries about heat or failure due to wetness, and he can carry them with confidence anywhere. Often, we're even able to rinse them off and reuse them for more than a single use! Adding such sturdiness to the fact that this brand is chemical-free and environmentally responsible, Earth's Natural Alternative now has me happily sold on their entire line of products - plates, bowls and all. I could not be more satisfied.
