Easy to open up. It was smaller than I expected. I was missing the separate Happy Birthday placard shown in the picture. I plan on giving the card to a friend for her birthday, but without that extra piece it isn't very birthday-ish. Also the card didn't seem very new--by that I mean it seemed like it was returned at one point--the envelope was a bit crinkled, the clear plastic wrap it came in was opened, and like I mentioned before, a piece was missing.

Very creative and of good quality. My mother loved it.
