OBITUARY DARKEST DAY

If you're reading this,than most likely you are an old fan. And I got great news for you. This belongs right beside "The End Complete" and "Cause Of Death". Right from the opener and throughout this is the Obits in all their glory. Crunchy rhythm guitar clanging away, drums galloping along and of course the voice of John Tardy just the way you remembered it from Tampa Florida's glory days. In these days with the Sweden sound dominating the death metal scene its great to remember the late 80's early 90's period. And this Obituary's Darkest Days is right on and puts you in that time capsule. Obituary never put out that many albums so this is another fine treat and addition to their catalog. Anybody intrested in this band can start right here and work your way backwards and enjoy it all classic death, by one of the originators of the genre.

I have just bought this album and it absolutely rocks. The production is much crisper than the last album. Also, Ralph Santolla's guitar soloing seems to have blended in a lot better than the last album, and his solos somehow remind me of early Megadeth. I found many of the tracks to be quite catchy after a couple of listens. John Tardy's vocals are also in fine form here.I am actually enjoying this more than End Complete. Still doesn't beat the first 2 albums though.If you are looking for accessible death metal, then this is well worth checking out.

Nothing new here but hey, it's Obituary! Solid album. Great production. It's a regular in my rotation. John Tardy rules!

Obituary is great death metal, but I still miss Alan west!

Very, very good work. Well done. Death metal in classic sound. I have been fan of Obituary since 1990 and... no dissapointments. They never drop out of thier style and sound. Technically perfect. Better than a couple of their previos records.
