You’ve probably seen those over-the-top commercials with a guy yelling about bacteria in your HVAC condenser line and how it’s supposedly destroying your house—even if your condenser is in the basement. It’s all a gimmick to sell an overpriced product. Here’s what the pros actually do: they drop a tablet or two into the drain line during routine maintenance. That’s it.I know this because, during my last service, I noticed the technician using these tablets. I snapped a picture of the bottle, searched for it on Amazon, and found it. These tablets cost next to nothing compared to those high-priced inline injection systems, which are total overkill—like putting a Ferrari engine in an old Monte Carlo. And honestly, who knows if those systems even work?These tablets dissolve slowly as condensation builds up, flushing away scale, bacteria, and other gunk from the drain line. To test it, I used a small inspection camera to check the inside of my line, and I was blown away. Important preventative maintenance
Air conditioners create condensation that will cause expensive property damage if the drain is blocked. This produce prevents growth of micro-organisms that can block the drain. It is highly recommended by my AC service company.

Reduce mold in condensate
Got it to control slime mold in condensate pump.on A/C. Seems to be working.

Doesn’t really control odors.
No clogging on the drain hose. Yet it doesn’t really controls odor. You need to keep your unit clean of mild by the usual means diring maintenance.
