Has anyone tried to carry two kayaks on these?

I have only carried a ladder. As I know it the roof load for this vehicle with these cross bars is 150 lbs.

Missing screws with hex head - how do I get a replacement screws?

I found the same thing! I was only missing 2 screws which was very frustrating. I was also miffed that I couldn't reach the company for them to send me the 2 screws. I was so aggravated with them I returned the whole thing. But if you go to your local hardware store, (not Home Depot or Loews), I'm sure they can help you. Good luck.

How is the "left and Right" determined , Looking from front to rear or from rear to front?

The directions Left and Right are determined from driverʻs perspective, seated at the wheel. This is standard indication for all automotive parts. I guess European vehicles would differ only when referring to to driver and passenger side.
