Super Easy Grommets - Just Don't Pound On It!
A grommet is a grommet, right? Well I just discovered this old thought is wrong. I have been buying those cheap kits and cheap grommets for years and have had mixed results. But then I finally bought a C.S. Osborne kit, using only original C.S. Osborne grommets and wow, what a difference it makes. The hole cutter is fabulously sharp. The grommet crimper set is easy and rolls each grommet perfectly. The only issue I have found is that if I get too aggressive with my hammer, or my press, the washer forms a cone instead of a mound. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but it is a thing!I am thinking, just press it enough to cinch the material, so the grommet can't rotate. If you press the grommet any further the outer washer edge does not grip the material.

Nice tool.
I have set about a dozen gromets with this punch. They all came out properly, even all the way around. The tool looks to be of good quality and should last a lifetime for home and hobby use.

Able to get good results with a little work
I was able to get pretty good results after a little bit of practice, but it wasn't easy. You need to really hammer on them to make them tight. The little piece of wood cracked pretty quickly, so don't count on it till last very long. I used an old piece of 2x4, but it was a little too soft and hard to get the punch out. Speaking of the punch, I've had to sharpen it once, but it was not very hard to do

As advertised
I used this to add grommets to a large bag for drainage, and to repair a tent fly. Tools seem well made; suited my purposes.

Top notch.
I am leery of the cheap imitators. This one is super solid and works extremely well.

American Made, superb quality!
When I was looking for grommet kits, I almost bought a cheap one until I read reviewed and discovered that some didn't include a punch...That would have been disastrous! I needed to fix an infinity outdoor chair that had come un-seamed. I'm not gonna lie...The mesh for the chair is pretty resilient (except for the stitches) and without the punch that comes with the kit this would have been un-usable. With the punch and some rubber mallet strikes both for the punch and for seating the grommets...it worked just great. It's really one of those lifetime purchases.

Very happy I spent a little more for this kit instead of buying the cheaper no name kits. The rivets are smooth not sharp. The rivet setting tools work perfect. No problem punching holes in 70d ripstop silnylon.

Way better than cheap imports
The toos work really well, and the grommets go in easily and properly every time. The cheap import tools mash the grommets sideways about 1 in 3 times.
